I know it’s not a hoppy beer, but since the bad ones have been mentioned, I’d like to pour one out for Lembeek 86. Before things like Powdered Cheese or Cheddar, there was this horror show of a beer that actually did smell/taste like cheese. Definitely one of the worst beers I’ve ever tasted.

Topical Depression, Grape obvi, but I also really didn't like Riwaka.

I thought centennial was pretty bad.

Pro: ability to grab cans from Other Half...con: having one of those cans explode in your leather messenger bag, coating everything in the bag

It's funny how different tastes are. I loved Nelson + Motueka.

Least favorite was probably Suparillo. I'm not even going to include Grape Conservate...

Hmm. I was a big fan of this beer. It was like dole pineapple juice.

I just had my last can of it recently and it was better than fresh since the hops fell off, but yea I regret buying as much as I did cause it was super astringent.

Yeah taking the obvious choices out of the picture I would probably vote Suparillo as well

To me it was watery and tasted how hop pellets smell, in an unpleasant way.

Am I the only person who really likes Suparillo? I don't like it as much as most of the single hop DIPAs but I still think it's very good.

I've always hated AGE. I keep going back to try it whenever it gets released, buy it's just so boozy each and every time. I really just don't get it.

I also think Other Half does a pretty bad job (bad being a relative term here) with Galaxy hops.

I liked Suparillo! We're just talking about a bounty of riches, so it comes out as my least favorite. But definitely not bad.

When I first started drinking IPA's, late 2015 I believe, I really liked Suparillo and even bought a growler to have at home after my first draft pour (at Covenhoven I think). It was a while before they brewed it again so likely my palate had shifted, because every time I've had it since I find it really unbearably earthy and bitter. Of course there are variations from batch to batch so I'll keep trying it to see if I can recapture that delicious Amarillo hop goodness.

I understand why it’s offputting to some. I would never buy more than a 4 pack because I agree it is super boozy. Kinda comes with the TIPA territory though...

i was actually really excited about this beer because all the beers i've had previously with grapes (all sours/lambics) worked really well. when i walked up at OH and asked for 3 4-packs, i swear i remember the lady who was working the counter gave me a funny look/double take. guess I should have picked up on the sign. it really reinforced the conspiracy idea that any time fruit is added to an IPA (at any non-large scale brewery, not just OH), there's a good chance it's to cover up the fact that the batch is off...

I shared a 4pk at an Angry Chair release here in FL and everyone loved it. It was maybe 2 weeks after the release. Don't know if I have had a bad OH beer.

I agree with your assessment of AGE, just way too boozy but I do try it every single time its released.

But I disagree about Galaxy hops, I absolutely love Space Diamonds, easily my favorite OH beer. Who do you think does better Galaxy centric IPAs? I tasted Space Diamonds side by side against Beats is Infinite from Monkish, Double Moonage from Cellarmaker, and Galaxy Sauce from Fieldwork and it was easily the best of the 4 imo.

Double Galaxy from Hill Farmstead would have to be the winner for me.
