I can't stand Space Diamonds, and Galaxy is by far my favorite hop.

I don't think OH's Galaxy beers even come close to those from other real-deal breweries in the Northeast . Examples: Congress Street from Trillium, Galaxy and DG from HF, Green from TH.

yup...different strokes for different folks. I think OH kills it with galaxy. The single hop galaxy (not to mention the recent DDH version) and the DDH space diamonds are two of my favorite beers to date, along with HF double galaxy.

    (I like galaxy).

Admittedly, I've only had Double Galaxy from those four and it was one of the ones that came to mind as one I've liked just as much if not more than SD. I'll have to track down Congress St. and Green if that's the case as Galaxy is also my favorite hop.

Sand City does well with Galaxy, the upcoming collab could have Galaxy in it.

Ditto on the galaxy love... for me, Congress Street is about as close to perfection as you can get in this style (though admittedly, I've yet to have DDH Congress Street).

I much prefer regular Congress St to their DDH version. Same goes for Fort Point.

    It really is funny though.

I don't remember exactly why I hated it so much. I think it was just way too "zesty" for me. I think it was RAR that they collaborated with that had lemon and lime zest? I could be wrong, but that kind of "zestiness" is fine since it was intended with lemon and lime. I don't know, I just remember having a hard to ingesting it.

Did they have V-Love bottles in the tap room yesterday?

If it helps, I was there on Sunday afternoon and they had both (farmhouse and mixed ferm I think) for on-site consumption.

DDH Space Diamonds tasted almost exactly like Trillium Galaxy Cutting Tiles to me. I’ve also been a huge fan of Other Half’s Galaxy single ipa for years. Just goes to show how different our palates could be

I remember at the time thinking that the first iteration of Galaxy was kind of a let down, that it paled in comparison to Citra and Mosaic, but this recent DDH batch was insanely good.

As per letdowns, let me be on the record for Aint Nothin Nice (DDH or regular) and dream in green (ddh or regular). Some OH beers aren't as flavorful, but these two I find are just full of bad flavor.

Someone recently told me that while drinking OH beers, he quickly reaches for his glass to wash the taste of the finish out of his mouth. I think I know what he means.

I didn’t get to try the DDH batch of Galaxy. Last time I had it was 4/2016 and I absolutely loved that batch. As far as the other beers you mentioned, I honestly could not disagree more. I loved Aint Nothin Nice when I had it in the taproom (didn’t get to try the DDH version) and I enjoyed Dream in Green even more than Daydream in Green. To be fair though, I’ve always loved Other Half’s single ipa’s. I enjoy the extra bitterness that their DIPA’s tend to be missing. Different strokes...

Anyone know how much of the Dare I Say was left last night and what are people's thoughts on this one? Hop bill sounds promising, was thinking about stopping by on my way home from work tonight if it's still available.

Haven’t had the Trillium/Treehouse offerings. But HF DG has always been the gold standard for a NE-style (blergh) galaxy hopped DIPA. And while I do like the OH offerings they’re just a totally different animal. Whenever I’ve been up to HF and bought a few growlers to take back to the rental (something we try and do every year - not a flophouse just to be clear), the “problem” I’ve always had is that DG is just insanely easy to drink for what, an ~8% beer. Don’t have that problem with space diamonds etc to be honest. Still good beers

A whole page now without any mentions of the line, how the pricing on draft is whack, how they don't help locals out, or off batches. It's almost like this board is having positive discussion...but then again it's discussing the beers everyone hated, we were so close!

the lack of complaints may have to do with the fact their consistency/quality has gone down in the past month or so as well. there is plenty of complaining in the FB forums about Mylar/Forever being off. as crazy as that may seem but there is less of a FOMO. DDH stacks may have been the best beer they released last week as well.

I had a can of DDH AEE over the weekend and at the bottom of the glass there was sludge that looked like snot. I just rinsed it out and went ''Hmm I've had floaties with OH before, but never sludge". Hopefully it was just an off can. But would an off can give you sludge? Little confusing.

How did it taste? Was this the only can you'd had from the last batch? I've definitely found sludge at the bottom of a glass if I leave it out overnight (there, I admit it- a grown man and I don't finish EVERY single beer I start).

This was my first can from the 4 pack I purchased and it tasted fine? Was just a little thrown off by seeing sludge on the bottom of the glass. To be honest, I drank it in about 20 minutes (and at 10% I felt that shit quick).

Edit: Don't know if this means anything but the sludge was probably the width of a nickel on the bottom of a snifter. And it was my first beer of the night.
