I'm thinking of visiting OH for the first time next month, but I'll be with a coworker and I don't want to tax her patience too much. We'll be there on a Wednesday, probably before or after dinner time. Will it be possible to get a glass and maybe fill a growler without a long wait in line? And is there anywhere to park in the area? Any info would be appreciated!

On a Wednesday there should be no line at all and most likely not a very big crowd. Parking isnt bad by NYC standards. Lines are only early Saturday mornings every other week.

Thanks, that's good to hear. Any recommendations for food in the area?

Unless you're really, really set on OH, I think you should take her to Threes.

This is a really good idea. Or go to Other Half then walk over to Threes for dinner and some more beers. They are pretty close together.

What's better about Threes, exactly? The food selection?

The space is really fantastic. They have a very large bar area and a big outdoor space in the back. It's just a much better place to hang out at. They have their own beer on tap and also a great guest list. And they have Meet Hook there for food. Other Half is very small, great and a cool vibe but small. If there are even just 10 people there it will feel a bit crowded and they dont have any food.

Physical space, ambiance, more varied tap list, food, etc. if you're bringing someone who isn't dying to try a specific beer that's on at OH, I'd say Threes is definitely the way to go.

Do Other Half another time (or just swing by OH quickly then cab it to Threes).

Out of towner here. Staying in Brooklyn early next week. Planned to hit OH for some growlers, any suggestions for a place for good beer and the Monday Night Football game near 4th and Union?

I'd recommend the Gate. No food, but they always have interesting beers on tap and they'll definitely have the game on.

anyone opened a Table Beer recently? I had saved one since it has brett in it, and wanted to give it a little time before I opened it, and it was a gusher and tasted way over carbonated. Really bummed since I had thought it was really great fresh. Why do they struggle so much with getting carbonation right on their bottles?

That's a really good question. Table Beer and Peachwood Aged were gushers and Short Dark and Extra Handsome had no carb at all.

Would it be due to the point they decide to bottle the beer or the bottling process itself?
