OH has their followers trained well. Even on a Wednesday at opening there was already a line forming out the door at the bar. Have beer nerds forgotten how bars work? I walked up to the bar where there were 2 other employees not serving anyone, thinking the line was for growlers and some dude gave me shit for "skipping the line".

Minor issue aside, it was awesome to grab a seat at the bar, have a couple tasters of collaboration beers and people watch. Why line up for hours on a Saturday morning when you can roll in on a wednesday night and have 3 cans to choose from (and 20 others on tap.)

Just left, long line for beers almost throughout, two bartenders, one who filled growlers/merch. Very inefficient, should not have to wait almost 20 minutes for a couple of pours. That being said, tap room is great, bathrooms as well.

Stopped by tonight too. I have to think they were unexpectedly short staffed. Giving them the benefit of the doubt. Very weird to have a single file line to get a drink at a relatively open bar.

Have a friend in NYC wanting to mule, what do you all expect on Saturday? He wants to know when a good time to show up is for cans. Is it still the instagram shitshow they posted a little while back?

I'd also consider trying the Vic Secret + Mosaic since it's not DDH and damn delicious. If you show up Sunday you'll also probably have most of the beers from Saturday's release on tap (unless they don't sell out which is unlikely). If thats the case than they are all worth a try and possibly better than most beers you have listed (outside ACE and DDHDMD). I would definitely consider the Hop Showers (OH classic with revamped recipe and now DDH'd with moteuka), DDH Mylar (maybe best DDH beer), DDHDMDaydream (incredible), DDH AEE (prob will age better based on non-ddh release but might be worth a taster).

If you haven't had much Enigma hop, I would definitely recommend All enigma everything. They do 4 oz tasters to help with sampling, though one could quickly feel the effect of consuming several tasters given how many of the beers are 8%+

I did OH, LIC, and Singlecut last Saturday, seeing the $2/5oz tasters at singlecut was nice - I'm used to flights in NJ, like 5 or 6 tasters from carton for $10

Visiting OH for the first time since 2015 this weekend, pumped to checkout the new taproom. Wanted to ask though, do cans typically make it to the afternoon on Saturday releases? I'm sure this question is asked here frequently so I appologize in advance.

Depends on the beer. Definitely some of them will last. If you don't care what you get then you'll be fine. If you specifically want the DMDD or Mylar then you'll likely miss out. Pretty hot line up this weekend. I reckon showers should last

I would actually wager the beers from last week last before any of this weekend's release do, though showers and enigma might last.

Tried DDH Double Mosaic Daydream recently and was blown away. Maybe my new favorite OH beer. Sad I cannot get to the release on Saturday - fingers crossed they continue to release it periodically

I think this is the third release of the ddh version in the past 6 months or so? Definitely one that's staying around.

So do cans sales still move to the old taproom after the first day? Going to stop by tonight and wasn't sure where to buy cans.

You get them in the new taproom, they're behind the bar. The old taproom is closed now, I think I recall one of the people working there telling me that the old taproom is now basically an office.

Approaching the end of my Green Power supply... when can we expect round 2/DDH? Top tier OH, without a doubt. @Kanger

Finished my last one tonight too. I don't love melon tasting beer but I will miss having a totally different IPA in the fridge. I look forward to restocking.

I agree on the opinions on DDH Forever Simcoe. It looks clearer, is not as creamy and doesn't have that funky Simcoe smell. Actually tastes more West Coast Style IPA. Still good, but different for sure.

Would have been nice if they just let people know - hey this batch is different for x reason. Obviously they don't want to dump beer, but it's not a great look to sell something completely different than the norm without a heads up. Unless this is the new norm for forever simcoe??
