Anything to help out. FWIW, I'm a "normo" too - this will be the first one I skip in the last 10 releases or so.

You'll probably be able to snag some Hop Showers. Sounds like they are canning a bunch.

Im considering going to this one. Bailed for quite bit because of the awful experience it has become. A 3rd register, two beers that don't have people in a frenzy and a bottle no one seems to care about has me hopeful I can show up at 9 and be gone by 11

If Stacks on Stacks doesn't bring a frenzy I may stop in around noon see if they have any left. But I think its going to bring the usual crowd out.

The Peachwood Aged bottle is the only one I really care about, hoping I can walk right in at like 1pm and grab a couple bottles

4.50 a can seems to be the new norm for double IPA can releases. Sucks to suck, but it's going to go even at that high price.

Part of me really wants make the 60+ minute trek to grab some cans this Saturday, but with fresh bottles of Bon Bon and growlers from Sand City available it's becoming harder and harder for me to justify waiting in line for hours.

Totally agree. I had SoS a while back on tap, it was good but nothing that stands out-- which is fortunate since I'll be out of town for this one. I'm just glad it's not Nelson, that's my fave!

Honestly the whole space of IPAs, esp this fascination with "dank" IPAs on the east coast has made it so I can't really tell many of them apart anymore. The OH/TH/TH crazes will continue I'm sure, but even Grimm Afterimage, which I scoured the city for, was kinda just meh according to my new palate, which has a much higher standard for IPAs than it used to. Kinda sad really.

Does anyone know if Momo is officially kicked in the taproom? Beermenus (updated 4 days ago) lists Motueka Pale Ale, but not Momo.

Totally agree. After so many Other Half, Tree House, Trillium, Carton, Tired Hands IPAs that I've had on the regular for the past year or so, my palate has become so picky. Afterimage was good but honestly not a standout for me. I had it yesterday on tap hoping it would impress me more than the cans did, but it was just "good". With the plethora of amazing IPAs out there, I think for anything to stand out, it has to appeal to a given person's hop flavor/aroma preferences. I gravitate toward dank, citrusy at the moment. Anything else tends to just leave me wishing those flavors were there instead.

It is so hard to live a happy life with so much good IPA.

Looks like OH and Finback are making a collab. Based on the hashtags it sounds like a kolsch:

Love to see them doing a collab but really hoping it's not a kolsch

I hope it's an AGE and BQE blend like they did with Barrier Money and Hop Showers.

I'd actually love if it was a Kolsch (especially with the warmer months coming up - once it stops feeling like winter in April?) or a less hyped up style. They'd prob make a solid Kolsch together (as long as its not overly hopped - why even call that a Kolsch?) and it sure as hell would be easier to get for local supporters of these breweries who don't have 4-5 hours to waste on a Saturday.
