I've seen it a couple other places in the city over the last week or two, so maybe they will.

I have to say, as a Bostonite who comes down to NYC about once a month, the two trips I've taken to Other Half have been nothing short of great. Beer is great, I managed to be there for a couple can releases (Citra and Forever and Ever), and sitting around that table chatting with people from all over the world while drinking something fantastic from their taps is a wonderful experience.

Hoping I can pop into the taproom after I get my cans tomorrow to try "!" & Mosaic/Motueka

    Fingers crossed they through tonight.

If you're far enough back, bop into the taproom at 10 before it's too crowded to enjoy a beer inside, then meet your pals back out in line after you're done!

I really hope the added register/crap weather/ no crazy collaboration makes it a painless visit. Plan to get there about 8:30. Hopefully I'm not blocks away

I think this one might be pretty low key. Im thinking in line with Get Wheated/Galaxy release

That's probably accurate. Who knows, maybe because of the weather they'll open the doors even earlier like the AGE/Equinox release. That day was so rad. I arrived at 8, no line. Cans in hand at 8:10. Enjoyed at beer in the taproom and was home by 9.

That is a very admirable attitude for someone from Boston..

Anyone else open a can of ACE with a ton of floating yeast and a terrible aftertaste? I only got two cans, cracked the first one last night (so 2 weeks old?). Beer had a nice nose and just went way downhill from there. Very disappointing. Not sure if its a mediocre product or I got 1 bad can.

(BTW, not necessarily blaming the floaters for the taste, it's just visually off-putting)

Can anyone explain how the wristbands work? Specifically:

    • When do they start distributing wristbands? At 10 when they open or before? It would make sense to do so before, if they have the staff on hand to help with that.
    • Once I have my wristband can I go wait in my car? << probably not but just curious.
    Thanks.

Time varies, sometimes 8am sometimes 9 but definitely before open and then they periodically make trips outside to hand out more as the line grows. The wrist band guarantees you the full allotment.

I guess you technically could wait in your car but you might not get your spot back in line and people might give you crap. You could sit in your car and then hop onto the end of the line as its closer to the door I guess.

The Citra can I opened on Tuesday had tons of particles but tasted fantastic. Next time I open one, I'll just pour 3/4th of the can in a glass to avoid the particles... and drink the remaining from the can.

I actually did that (poured out 3/4, drank other 1/4 from can). It was pretty mediocre both ways IMO.

All citra is differently a in your face hop machine gun... I think it's just OH style. What was the aftertaste? Lingering bitterness, or that rubbing alcohol taste that I sometimes get from their beers... like AGE.

I like that strong bitterness. I get bored of IPAs that are too fruity. This wasn't bitter or even that AGE rubbing alcohol booze (i know what you meant). It was more like natural gas. Maybe the can was just a turd.
