This is incredible. If only I was there to see it in person.

Were these people frantically running out of line/OH or did they not even notice? If it's the latter, the line will get some good entertainment watching these people come out fully stocked with nowhere to put it

I knew following this thread was a good choice.

Ha! About fucking time. Lazy ass entitled people getting what they deserve.

So glad I stayed in bed today. So over this release crap. I'll stick to picking up growlers during the week.

So I guess the days of showing up at 2pm on a release day and getting in and out with a case in 10 minutes are over?

I did the Suparillo/Forever Ever release because I'd never really done one, so didn't realize how crazy it was, and I'd had some nice stuff from OH in the past, had the morning off, and decided to give it a go. The 2 hour drive and minimum 2 hour wait time just isn't worth it. There is plenty of similar/better stuff readily available. Sad to see it go this route

Did the release start at 10? I just saw that on twitter as well. Interesting still so much left. That's a good job by OH

Could also mean the line is going real slow

The only reason so much is left is because the line is going incredibly slowly. I got in line at about 300ish and still only halfway down Centre.

Just got home. When I left at 11:20 the line was still around the corner to the other corner. Moving really slowly too. Imagine everyone will get their beer, but unfortunately this might be my last release for a while since it appears this will only get worse.

It seems your only option is get there really early and wait or get there later and probably wait a bit longer depending how late you show. I had nothing but time to kill after work this morning so I was maybe the tenth person in line but that was at a little before 7. There was also no cash only line at least while I was there.

    Sooo.... how's the beer?

Worth the wait like Street Green was?

Arrived at 8:15, got my beer at noon! Guess I'm a glutton for punishment. And OH beer!

If there is no line now and beer left, I don't want to know about it.

Next release is an anniversary DIPA, Hop Showers, and a black IPA collab with someplace.

I thought it was excellent. I only got a glass inside while waiting on my growler fill. Going to open a couple later with some friends after a well deserved nap.

We must've been standing next to each other twice now! I think you checked in here arriving about the same time I did for Suparillo as well. But yeah, at 8:15 we were around the corner and then basically about to turn down Garnet.

The bracelets didn't cut down on line cutting per say, rather, they enabled some people to move with their friends once they had the bracelet. They did bring the piece of mind knowing if you had one, you'd get some beer!

There was some excitement watching the towing action in McDonald's at 11:30ish.

Shout out to the boisterous gentleman who thought the tree on Smith street was thirsty.

Line was long but everything ran very smoothly, it seemed like a big improvement over the last release. Only real downside was the line moved very slowly - I was a little past the 300th person to get a bracelet and didn't get my beer until 12:45. Hopefully they can continue to streamline the releases and figure out a way to speed up the line - seems like they should be able to go a little faster than ~100 people an hour.

Some drinking in line but nothing crazy. Cops drove by a few times actually and unless they're blind could clearly see drinking and line but they didn't seem to care. Seeing cars towed out of McDonald's was priceless.

Sounds like the next release could get pretty crazy if that's what they're releasing. If the Second Anniversary DIPA is anything like the First Anniversary one though it could be worth it.

Oat Overdose on for fills? I'd assume so but want to be sure before I head over later.

I can't believe this shit. I had to drive to Midtown this morning and considered taking the ride down the BQE but I had a feeling it would turn into the shitshow it appears it turned into.

I'm the very definition of the words "functioning alcoholic" but who in the fuck wants to have a "bottle share" at 8 or 9am? An illegal bottle share, I should add. No respect having savages, I suppose.
