This seems to make sense. Sam also mentioned in the podcast two new printed cans would come in the new year, which leads me to believe it was recorded sometime in December.

looks like they've heard what everyone's been saying and are trying bracelets for the next release line

even better than the bracelet system is that they're doing a 2 four pack limit on the Tired Hands collab!

Couldn't agree more. Im hoping this isnt as bad as Street Green. Does the Tired Hands name carry as much weight as Trillium?

    Hey there guys!
Pretty excited for this release on 01/16! I will be in NYC & this will be my first time visiting OH. What is a good time for me to get in line to guarantee a wrist band? Not sure how crowded their releases are and what not. Any info or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully I will see some of you there!

    Cheers!

So this looks like a brand new Tired Hands collab instead of Oat Junkie, which is great. Nelson, Galaxy, and Amarillo hops - awesome combo. If I'm in town I might have to check this out, especially given that they're doing wristbands which should make it much easier to deal with.

Hard to tell what the turnout will be like, should definitely try to get in line between 8-9a (if they're opening at 10).

Thats what I assumed. Have seen that they sell out of 4pks pretty quickly but wasnt sure if "quickly" means 30 minutes to an hour or 3 to 4 hours.

It really depends. Normally in the past you could show up at 1130-12 and get in and out with no wait and cans lasted until the afternoon. But in the new year both release have been brand new cans and obviously this one is a collab so they tend to go faster.

Depends on the limits... I got to the Suparillo release at 9a, they opened at 10, got my beers at 11, they were sold out at 12.

Question for the locals: I've got a friend in Brooklyn who's offered to bring me some Other Half beer when he comes down to DC in a few weeks. He's not a big-time beer guy, so I'm not about to ask him to go stand in line at a can release for me, but I was wondering if the cans ever last beyond the morning they're released. Like on the 16th, for example, could he conceivably stop by in the afternoon and still get cans?

I'll likely be sitting this one out if people are lining up at 8am. At (2) 4packs pp of Oat Overdose, I'll monitor this thread and possibly roll the dice on a late AM/noon arrival

We've been out there in orbit in bottles for the next release too. Non-barrel aged though.

I'd imagine the (2) 4 pack limit of Oat Overdose paired with the IPA should keep things somewhat tame.

probably not this release but for any of the regular rotation cans, yes. Might be able to snag some of the IPA later but probably not the collab.

Glad to see that they're actively looking to improve the release process.

I'll be sitting this one out, but I am looking forward to reading feedback from those who do head out on the 16th.

Thanks to everyone who has given me feedback! I will monitor this thread until next weekend. Will be heading there with my GF. We are from Raleigh. If anyone wants to share some beers or are interested in things from my neck of the woods please feel free to shoot me a PM!

This was the case for Superillo. I know there were lots of Forever Ever left though. I think they even lasted til the next day. Are they sold out yet?

Just have him bring a growler or few down to you. It will be much easier on him to stroll in on a regular day, and it's not unreasonable to expect Oat Overdose to be on tap the week after the release too. They use a counter pressure system so they should last longer than a typical growler does.

Now that sucks. Would've liked to grab some bottles, but not enough to head down for the release when I'm not overly excited about the collab and am not a huge fan of the IPA (when West Coast style IPA's that I enjoy more are readily available at any beer shop).

I'll clear the calendar for 1/30 in hopes that it's an AGE release.
