Yeah, I mixed up the timing of the bottle release with having Bretty Crocker on draft in the tasting room, which was the week prior to the Street Green release. Beer geek demerits for me, I suppose.

I'll skip this release. I feel it will be a bit crazy. Tired Hands has a good following so think it will draw a fair amount. Not as epic as the Trillium collab, but even 1/2 that would make it more than usual. Add in a new can for OH and I can see people lining up at 8 or sooner.

Now what would be cool is if Tired Hands got their canning machine up and running, throwing some cans into this release. Would be sweet! But I highly doubt it.

Their canning machine is up and running, as they're releasing Hop Hands cans as well as an IPA today at the Fermenteria. As far as seeing any at the OH release, wishful thinking.

Stouts are taking over the tap list this week at OH. Not that I'm complaining. Super Nugget is appropriately named. Really green, piney, and woody. A little too much in a stout much for me but Hop Showers was tasting amazing.

I'm still torn as to whether or not I'll be attending this can release. Oat Overdose sounds right up my alley, but standing in line for hours in below freezing temperatures doesn't. It's really gonna be up to the weather at this point.

Anyone know if wristbands will be handed out for We've Been Out There in Orbit as well? Would love to be able to swoop in just for that, especially if the can release line is going to be long.

I have actually never been to a can release since I don't feel like waiting in line for hours. As a result, I've missed out on getting cans for most of the big releases. But almost every time I go I am able to get cans of something... I've gotten All Green Everything a number of times. If you miss out on the cans, go the growler route like a few other have mentioned, but I'd still make sure not to let too many days pass after filling the growlers. The big releases typically stay on draft a few days as well.

Thanks, talking to my friend, it sounds like it might make more sense for him to grab me some growlers instead of the cans. Is it possible to see what they have on tap on any given day?

For those attending, and those who care, I just noticed that OH will be pouring at Hunahpu Day, according to CCB's website. Now I won't have to bring as many cans down for the usual Friday night bottle share.

Spoke to Rob the bartender and he said barrel aged In Absentia Luci is in bottles and looks like it will be ready soon (before We've been out there in orbit). Also that WBOTO will consist of rum, apple brandy, and bourbon barrels blended to mimic something like an eggnog booze profile.

I had the experience. I've had 4-5 through this past weekend that were all great. Last night I opened one and it was quite boozy.

WFT!!!! Having the same experience right now... perhaps it's the yeast OH uses bc I don't get this same "burn" from other IPAs in this ABV range.... Maybe the cans need 2 weeks to "mellow out".

Since we're on the topic of Suparillo being a bit hot - I have a 32oz growler in the fridge, filled 12/31. I generally drink growlers within a week of filling, bas thinking of letting it sit another week or so in the hopes that it mellows. I assume this is fine because OH does counter-pressure fills, but wanted to get some feedback on here. What do you guys think?

    I don't know, i liked the can i had on days 0 - 4 much more than last night's.

I wasn't going to have a beer tonight but it sounds like more research is needed!

I get the same taste from green diamond cans.

I still like the beer and would line-up for it again... but I didn't expect this punch from only 8.5%.

I've never been able to sit on a growler that long. Congrats and please report back

That said, I remember the Suparillo that I drank at the brewery on 12/31 being much hotter than the growler that I drank a few days later. Both from the same keg, I presume. Maybe it's perception? Temperature served? Mild oxidization? Two days of aging? Hard to say. I had no trouble drinking either though.

I finally got to Forever Ever from the release last weekend. I definitely get a faint hint of boozy in it, but overall very light crisp and refreshing. Would love to drink outside on a warm summer day. Looking forward to having some more over the coming days/weeks
