Had a Suparillo last night... It was extremely boozy, hard to put down. The only time i've tasted a prominent booze flavor like this in OH cans was green diamonds and still i think the Suparillo was more boozy tasting.

    Really hoping they cool out

Had Suparillo last night (beermail from Brooklyn to Florida) and it was absolutely delicious. Not boozy. I think the shipping did it some good!

Idk, I know beers from small breweries will be slightly different from batch to batch, but is it possible just some cans have slight differences within the same batch, and it's not the timing? Especially if the cans I had 2-days-old were drinkin great, and the one I had 4-days-old was a little hot. Usually it goes the other way around

Probably both. I think a lot of the folks here would agree that OH beers change over time, and most would agree that batches have differences.

I definitely agree with this. Dont think its a huge deal but its my only knock on Other Half. They do have slight consistency issues.

It's unfiltered, unpasteurized beer. It's going to change every single day almost. That's craft beer. If you want true consistency, Budweiser makes plenty of beer.

Well thats not entirely true about craft beer and consistency. Its hard to compare a small brewery like OH to some of the larger ones, but there are PLENTY of breweries that produce beer that has the same quality (for a lack of a better word) everytime they release it. It took them years I'm sure but they got it dialed in.

I've had Superillo nearly every day since the release and it's been consistently amazing. It'll be interesting to see how the whole bracelet thing goes. Probably best if they distribute early and often. Starting at 7:30/8 and every 15 minutes or so?

In today's Suparillo report... It's drinking amazing today. Little to no booziness taste. All hops. Nom!

Tired Hand just posted this on social... Possible this will help with crowds at Other Half on Saturday?

"ALSO, this upcoming Sunday, the 17th, we will be selling bottles of our@otherhalfnyc collaboration, Oat Potion at the @fermentaria! Oat Potion is our honey Saison (or Bière de Miel) brewed with bucket loads of NY state wildflower honey and then fermented/conditioned in French oak. This beer is roughly nine months old at this point. Extremely soft and floral with a refined acidity. $18/500ml bottle. 3 bottles/person. 1,000 bottles for sale to the public."

This sounds delicious. Unfortunately with a Sunday release I doubt it will impact that crowds much. It's not like Philly and NYC are far enough apart anyway, people from Philly will just drive up to OH for the morning release and be back in Philly by the afternoon.

What do you guys think the line will be like Saturday? Dead of winter going to help keep it short? Interested in the collaboration but it's an hour away. No interest if it's like the street green release

Current forecast says rain and 47 degree high - if that rain forecast stays it could really help kill the line...
