I can't imagine anyone will get shut out on Wednesday, but anything is possible. Predicting the exuberance of peoples desire to get these cans is a risky game. I do like the idea of a weekday release, gives the locals a chance to hopefully get these cans with a minimum of hassle. There is room for everyone to get these beers, but people who have the ability to support the brewery week in and week out deserve to be able to get their hands on cans.

@jrnyc I'm not a local brooklyner but get there when I can for drinks (and can releases of course). Probably can't make it tomorrow but I couldn't agree more. Look out for the people that look out for you!

So...what time do I need to get there? First time going, but I had AGE at a tasting last weekend and told myself I would be at their next can release no matter what.

I did, but that release was on a Saturday. A Wednesday release I would think wouldn't be as bad. Right now, I am shooting to get there right around 5. I live about 2 hours away. How have other weekday releases gone? How have other AGE releases gone? Anyone with info, please let me know!

Also, does the brewery take credit cards or do I need to grab some cash?

As others mentioned above--cans lasted until the next day the last time there was a can release during the week. There's always a line but its up to you if you want to wait in it.

    Yes they take credit cards

Just remember traffic. If you are shooting for opening, give yourself 3-3.5 hours to get there. Personally, if you didn't have anything else to do, I'd visit the city during the day or get out there early and wander around/grab lunch/drink/etc. Tough time to be travelling out there from PA/NJ. But their beers are worth it. Hoping that somehow I can get a can of Galaxy!

Any excuse to hang around the city for the day is always welcome, but I don't really have the luxury. Wife and kids and and such. This will be a "business only" trip for me, grab the cans maybe a growler or two and head home. I'd like to be home by 9 actually, wishful thinking probably but you never know.

This is awesome. I missed the Atrial sh*t show this year so I'm excited to see how the chaos of an NYC release compares to JK. Do people drink in line here or is that frowned upon?

Nah no drinking in line man--at least from my what I've seen. Its all about timing the rush/lines. Typically if you arrive about 2 hours after open the big line is mostly gone and you can get in and out with your cans in like 20 minutes. Tap room is a crowded mess though so growler fills and pints can be a bitch...

OH is a great spot to hang out on basically any day other than can releases in my opinion. Cans are great and all but just swinging by on a regular day for a growler fill and a couple beers with good company is a much better experience

Oh and how could I forget--while you wait in line you get to enjoy the smells wafting from the many dumpsters chilling outside the brewery. Should be nice and ripe tomorrow on a hot day

My favorite thing about waiting in line is the conversation with locals that come by to ask what people are standing in line for. When they find out it's beer, they ask if it's free and when they find out how much it costs, they say it must be good beer!

Every time I've been there I've had this interaction...
