So how quick do these cans sell out? Never been to a release but thinking about going this weekend. Can I show up casually later in the afternoon and get my cans or is it more like I need to be waiting in line before they open to get lucky?

All Green Everything is the big "hype" beer that creates longer lines (high alcohol + hops make people lose their shit I guess?)... Last can release I walked in around 11:30 and left with all my cans by 11:45. No need to line up early.

With this current release I would say get there by Noon and you'll be fine.

Lots of good places only about five minute walk from OH up Court Street: Frankies, Prime Meats, Buttermilk Channel, Court St Grocer.

thanks for the response man , now my big dilemma is do I bring my rolling cooler on the train the whole way, or make that awful drive from the upstate with the cooler in my car... parking around the brewery seems like hell to me although I have never tried I have always taken the subway from manhattan, I just wonder how far I am going to have to walk to my car wherever I can find a spot with 2 cases of 16 oz cans in my hands.

Do alot of people bring coolers to their releases?

Is parking easy to find by the brewery?

I've seen a few coolers, but most people seem to carry them to their car... if they have coolers waiting, I wouldn't know.

FYI - There's a McDonalds across the street which may have some spots - although I don't know if that's technically "allowed." Street parking sucks, as usual in NYC. But there are spots farther down towards Red Hook, if you feel like walking.

parking isn't too bad. never taken me more than 10 minutes to find a spot. You may walk a few blocks but you should find something.

Cue the  "why do you need 2 cases of IPAs??" responses...
I don't usually see coolers, but generally I see some guys carrying beer to their car so I'm sure you could manage a parking spot somewhere in the area...

Easy when talking about parking at McDonalds, the other half parking committee will be here momentarily with their pitchforks and torches.

I agree with that, though... definitely shouldn't park there!

Quick question, how long does it traditionally take to make it through the line and is it cash only? I'm meeting my sister later in Brooklyn and wanted to get an idea of what time I'd be out of there. I'm hoping to arrive between 9-9:30. Thank you for any help!

They accept cash and credit. If you arrive at 9-9:30 you will wait in line and be out of there around 10:30/11:00. If you arrive at 11:30, you will be out of there by 11:45
