You drove from Texas? That's dedication but no IPA is worth that trip.

Seemed like a pretty inefficient growler-filling operation. Is this usually the case or was it just today? A couple people who I met in line mentioned that fills can often take a while. I feel like she rung out and distributed growlers to maybe ten patrons at the most between 10:30-11:30.

That'd be awesome. I'm here for work for about 6 weeks so if there's another can release I can make it earlier.

The way it was yesterday is how I've seen it all the times I've been there. I got a 32 oz filled around 11 and don't think it took longer than 5 minutes. I brought my own and the guy asked me if I wanted to keep my old white cap because they use a black cap which gives a better seal.

Now, I wish they would have the can line NOT go through the tasting shop and just go right into where you get cans. But this may be a policy they need to follow. With such a small tasting room, it gets crowded. Another option would be to remove the table in the tasting room for releases. Would free up a lot of room for people to stand.

I went directly to the can line inside the brewery... no one told me to enter via the tasting room.

In and out in under 10 mins!

I'd imagine it was due to the can release, but also they use a counter pressure system. Which is much slower than a straight draft pour growler fill.

The door guy told me to go straight into the garage doors if I wanted cans, and to come back over for drafts afterwards. They put GD on draft right when the cans sold out. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back

I'm guessing this was after 11:30-12pm for the both of you. At that time, right when I was leaving, there was hardly any line for cans.

My reasoning to have the line head directly into the canning area is for when the line starts first thing in the morning. This will allow people just looking for growlers to be separate and not crowd the tasting room. Then after you get cans, you head to tasting room if you please or leave. Just a minor suggestion but one that I think would help out.

Yep, we got there right at noon. But your suggestion is a great one, it worked out well for us.

Looks like a sumac beer is coming soon in collaboration with Suarez Family Brewing:

opinions on this last batch of cans? GD is tasting pretty much on point. Nelson is pretty similar to the last canning. The Citra is still tops for me

GD is tasting great. Nelson is a little more fruity on tap, but it's still great in the can.

Mosaic wins for me. But I can't wait for Galaxy to come back.

I thought this batch of Nelson was better than last canning. Skipped on the GD--just not my style I wish it wasn't the most popular beer they're canning right now.

I feel like all green everything is the most popular beer they can but green diamonds is by far canned most often.

Yeah that's exactly what I meant--GD has been canned the most.

Green Diamonds for me still tastes great and the same as the past 2 canning runs I've had.

Nelson, IMHO, is a bit better than the last time I had it in cans (April 2015 I think). Tasting really good!

Hope I can get some Galaxy IPA when they release it!
