Other Half Brewing Thread (June 2015)

    I drank my first Equinox last night. EASILY my least favorite Other Half hoppy beer. I actually didn't finish it. Very much disliked it. Boozy (for a 7% ABV I was shocked), bitter to the point of astringency, and way too malty with piney hops (my least favorite). Just not for me.

    Nelson & Mosaic are my 2 faves. Though I would love to see Galaxy in cans at some point.

    I think new refers to never released outside brewery. Looks like Small Green Everything will be back at tap room, that is good news.

    Nice Life was on tap this past weekend. It first came out last October. I believe it was brewed in honor of someone who passed away.

    Small Green Everything came out last Summer, so I'm glad it's back again. It hasn't been around since November.

    I read that as 3 completely brand new, unreleased ever beers (taproom or otherwise) and that they just weren't listed. I know Nice Life and Equinox have both been on tap outside of the taproom recently. I suppose you're probably right though...

    OH just updated Beermenus today. Looks like they have Small Green and Nice Life at the taproom too.

    Thanks @Kanger ! How are these? I love IPAs/DIPA/TIPA/APA, etc. GD is my favorite OH beer. Hop Showers is probably 2nd, then AGE, Mosaic, Citra, Nelson, Equinox. Had a few others, but not enough to place. Need to spend more time on draft beers as opposed to cans.

    Their page is very misleading and fall of hype too. 3 never released (anywhere ) OH beers would be awesome but that doesn't appear to be the case.

    Well if you love hoppy, then you'll love Nice Life. I drank a bunch of it this past Sunday.

    I haven't had Small Green Everything in a long time so I can't remember the flavor profile, but I know I thought it was a great hoppy session IPA.

    *I'd take any of these over 90% of the stuff I can get locally in NY.

    Interesting...I'd put mosaic #1 and AGE #2...Equinox is clearly the #6 choice hands down...though still good
