I may be in the minority that thinks that the collab just won't be ready in time for cans this week. Judging by the fact that Henok (ominipollo) has been placing lactose into hoppy beers for as long as I can recall and Jean ( tired hands) have done the milkshake series countless times and it seems to be tired hands most popular beer at their taprooms and a cans I don't think they could of screwed up on this beer. But you just never know

I don't know. I hope you are right; but the brew day was a couple weeks ago, and IPAs don't really benefit from that long of a fermentation period.

Yea, it was brewed on April 13 and according to another brewery beers take 17-21 days tank to can, and that is the exact window we are in now. Cant imagine it would be much different for Other Half. Though it wasn't a "normal" IPA so it might be different.

OH tagged Beer Table, the store, in their post. This has nothing to do with Westbrook.

Yea, I remember this post. It's also worth mentioning that this means that the beer had to be shipped from SC to NYC, which of course costs money and affects the price OH will sell the beer at. It's not really comparable to a bottle you buy from other breweries, since this wasn't brewed at OH. But really, we've spent far too much time talking about price in this thread.

Anyone have a feeling they're actually going to release the TH/Omni collab this saturday, and just want to avoid the line shit show like they had for the recent All citra release, with cops etc? Really wouldn't surprise me.

I mentioned this in the other thread. Debbie Down was supposed be on tap on Prolateriat on April 30. According to my sources at Prolateriat they didn't get the keg as beer wasn't ready. So my guess is with all that fat from white chocolate something must have gone wrong or it will be delayed by a week or two.

I mentioned the same thing earlier. But I honestly dont think that's the case. It doesn't seem like Other Half's style to do that.

As much as I want this to happen it does nothing for their ability to grow their brand, which is what they are/should be focused on at this point. I think we'll get the collab and the massive crowd that we're all fearing.

This is what I said earlier in the thread. OH told us our keg order wouldn't be ready and they would let us know.

Buddy went to the tap room yesterday and they said they're deciding to blend the Debbie Downer with lacto so it'll be like a TH Milkshake beer after all. Probably 1-2 weeks away.

For comparison, this was the earlier description of the beer: "Debbie Downer- 6.5%. Multigrain India Pale Ale with a healthy addition of mango and white chocolate, and hopped with Mosaic and Simcoe. Brewed in collaboration with the whacked-out minds of Tired Hands Brewing (PA) and Omnipollo (SWE). It's worth noting that this has NO lactose sugar and is NOT one of those fellas' newfangled "Milkshake" beers."

Interesting. So do we take this as the beer did not come out good and they are trying to cover up a bad beer by adding adjuncts or they really just changed their mind.

I assume you mean lactose and not lacto?

Can anyone else confirm this news about Debbie Downer? I'm happy we at least have somewhat of an update on it. Really hope this ends up being released in some capacity.

Just talked to Masha at Beer Boutique who was set to get a keg of Debbie Downer this week. She confirmed they are re-fermenting the beer. Not sure what this means in terms of timing and taste, but at least we know they will most likely release it at some point. Snagged some Lawson's Super Session #2, Carton SS-Cream & Barrier Suburb Bravo while I was there. Love that place so much.
