I think I saw OH post somewhere that it would be 2 weeks from the last release. So I would say that weekend of the 10th, but I can't seem to find that post so don't quote me on that.

It was in their Twitter Sunday: quote "15 cases of Citra IPA left. All Green and Cascade are sold out! Next can release in 2 weeks!"

I'm really finding this batch of AGE cans remarkably good. The first time they canned this I found it a lot "hotter" than the draft version and honestly didn't love it that much, as one of the most impressive parts of the beer imo is how well it hides the high alcohol. Not sure what's different, but I have none of the same problems with this canning run.

Only problem now is the temptation to drink two cans on a weeknight...

The all green batch from a month ago was the best I've had. Noticeably better than the first canning run, gonna crack open a can from the new batch tonight and see how it's tasting. I think they've perfected brewing that beer at this point

while I haven't yet cracked one from this past weekend, I would agree with you both. That very first release I thought was hot and almost turned me off to the beer; but each canning run has subsequently gotten better. I think they have perfected it!

Agreed, that batch from a month ago was unreal. Very similar to Heady except I only had to drive an hour to get it.

The current batch from Saturday's release may still be a little too fresh. I had one on Saturday and one last night and while solid, not as good as the last batch at the moment.

I find that Other Half suffers from "Tree House syndrome" as I've come to call it. The beers are canned SO fresh that they really need at least a week before they're ready to drink IMO. YMMV

I have a good friend who lives in San Diego who has had a lot of the best beer in the country. I sent him a can of the previous batch. He is a bit of a wise-ass ( in a good way) and he texted me yesterday that AGE was the best IPA he has ever had! I thought he was kidding, but he was dead serious. High praise from someone who has access to all of the great San Diego beers and traded for some of the best stuff around country. He also had a can months ago at a share and said the one he had now was much better.

This was my first time with AGE, it's really fantastic and unique. Well worth waiting on line for; as nice as the other two are, I'm left feeling like I could get something comparable a lot easier. But the AGE made me feel like the whole trip was worthwhile in the end. Great stuff!

Last batch of AGE was amazing but I think this one may be better. I usually come across 1 or 2 exceptionally boozy cans but I have yet to in this batch. Either way it's top tier for me.

so a question about OH's single hop series... do they use the same malts and yeast for each of these single hops, with just different hops, or are they different recipes altogther?

They vary slightly but in general are often very very similar, or so I've been told.

I believe they use the same grist for each of the single hop batches. I was wondering as well if they use the same hop addition times for all the single hops since they all have different Alphas and what not.

And in response to everyone saying that the Cascade isn't good and what not, it's not supposed to be a complex beer. I think that when drinking these, you have to remember that they're indeed hopped with only 1 hop and are highlighting what these hops do to a beer. Also agree that you should give it a week or so to let the beer develop in the can. As John Kimmich says, every time the beer is moved to a new vessel it changes.

Thanks- that would be pretty cool on my end as well. As it went, though, I was only able to pick up some cans after work since I was in the area, and wasn't able to hang out anyway. If things are different in the future I'll give you a heads-up.
