That is a killer tap list, AGE, GD, Nelson, G is for Green, etc. No need to line-up for cans, drinking that list at OH is a hop-heads dream. Arguably the 3 best OH beers made on tap now.

I agree that it is a stellar tap list but I must comment on the recent comments/sentiment from people in the area about not worrying about cans because you can get the same beers on tap kind of mentality. Not everyone lives within close distance of OH even if they love the beer and someyimes being able to get cans/bottles of a beer you like is easier because you can hold onto it for longer without having to go to the brewery every weekend (growlers dont last).

For instance, I live an hour east of OH (if im lucky with traffic). I love OH but im not going every weekend and spending 2-3 plus hours out of my day. Not to mention if i have to drive im not drinking more than 2 glasses. Being able to go pick up cans is such a positive.

No doubt, definite benefit to cans, I am with you on that. Just pointing out no one gets whipped into a frenzy over an awesome tap list, but people will line-up for one beer.

I am not even close to OH, I live in Port Washington. By the time I jump on LIRR, then get on the subway, I am looking at 1 and 45 minutes. You should try taking the train, not only can you get the cans but you can drink in the taproom without worrying about driving.

If you are going Saturday, let me know, lets have a beer together, I am buying.

Do I see 7 IPAs - isn't that alittle much?
Reminds me of the - "if you only drink IPAs do you really like beer?" thread the other day.

During this past fall/winter there was maybe 2 IPAs on the tap list.

IPA, Brett or barrel basically. Now I know they make great IPAs but I'd love to see more variety and basic styles.
I guess this is their niche but I really appreciate the non trendy styles just as much.
I think any brewery can and has to make a great IPA these days or they shouldn't even bother - so its what they do in addition to IPAs makes it interesting to me.

Such is the reason I love Barrier so much. They do a variety of styles and do them all well. Not saying I don't love OH, but sometimes I want something that is not over-hopped, barreled or funky.

I see we are both on the same page. I most likely will be going Saturday. I'll let you know for sure.

My only problem with driving as compared to taking the train is that most weekends I have such limited time to myself to go and visit breweries like OH, and driving usually affords me the ability to come and go as I please (or when I am being yelled at for taking so long ).

I highly endorse this! At this time last year, the tap room didn't even exist. OH is a gift from the beer gods, we are very lucky to have them. IPA season is upon us, all the great ones and news ones showing up.

They spent the winter making stouts, saisons, biere de gardes, time to make room for the IPAs again.

The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned! Having the opportunity to try so many heavy hitters from OH was pretty awesome.

Right now there are probably only a handful of breweries if that that can trot out an awesome line-up of IPAs/DIPAs like that at one time in their tap room.

Genuinely curious, which other breweries do you think can/do trot out as many consistently good IPAs?

Without knowing every last brewery out there, hard to say, but having this many at the same exact time, I would not many. Trillium would be one, but they don't have a tap room where you can drink.
