Other Half Brewing

I would say it is on par with both Higher Standard and War Elephant. More tropical than Higher Standard, easier drinking than War Elephant. Not as complex as Higher Standard, not as big a taste as War Elephant. All 3 are world class, so my real thought is thankyou beer gods!

 

They're bringing back the Citra this week-end. Delicious stuff.

I think if you go way way way back there's some English in there.

But people also hate when I hyphenate week-end.

Label reminds me of Omnipollo's labeling style - super minimalist.

No, it's still about a month or so from being ready, according to the OH guys.

 

OK, they poured it at ommegang and said this weekend. I guess something changed

 

Oh they told me it would be another month for the bottle saison when I was at BCTC. Maybe they thought you were talking about the stout.

 

Any idea on bottle limits? Their FB post did not say. Hard to go out to Brooklyn on the weekday and I have a feeling Saturday will be nuts!

 

what does OH charge for their bottles?..specifically the BA Stout releasing next week

 

I hope they do. Though I plan to be there when they open on Thursday.

No pricing as of yet. But if we go by their growler prices - it shouldn't be high.

You can thank Anthony for the play list. He also bartends at Proletariat on Monday nights. Chillest bartender I've met who is knowledgeable without sounding like a douche. And his playlists are a hip-hop/beer head's fantasy.

 

Anthony is one of the nicest guys in the beer industry. Always realxed even when the tasting room is slammed.

I didn't realize he bartends at Proletariat. I'll have to stop by on a Monday and say hello.

 

He's the reason Proletariat became one of my favorite bars. The music his plays and his knowledge + his willingness to pour some samples of great beer from his own collection made for a great experience. And he ever remembered me when I stopped by OH. Great guy.

 

Hell yeah. I remember about a year ago I was at Proletariat and he gave me a bottle of Duck Rabbit Milk Stout (from his own stock) just so I could take it home and give it a try. Awesome guy.
