a couple months ago they had the chardonnay barrel v-love and a whiskey barrel laaste ronde on tap at the brewery, and the laaste ronde was a little too hot but i thought the v-love was excellent.

just got a couple bottles - the labels on these look great

Thanks. I think I might grab one tomorrow and a growler of Forever Green. Love living so close to this place.

Just got back from getting a growler filled and picked up a bottle, looked like they had about two cases still behind the counter for those wondering. +1 for how great the labels look, hopefully the beer will be just as good.

If it was only a little tart...

i am finally getting around to opening one of the imperial stout bottles... i had pretty low expectations, and when i opened it, it gushed like an overcarbonated homebrew at first, but once it settled down it's actually a pretty good beer. i like the red wine flavor, it's a nice departure from the coffee, chocolate, and jalapeno/habanero combo that every other brewery is doing.

Went yesterday to get a flight and a growler.

They were all out of the v-love bottles, but Anthony said they'd be making and bottling more of it at some point.

At the brewery now. G train is fucked. Usually takes me 15 mins to get here on the g. Today it took me 2 G trains, an A train, and the F train. Of corse they're out of bottles. :slight_frown:

Bit I did try the ESB and the EXP stout. Both delicious.

And thanks to Anthony for the taste of Commons Myrtle.

I don't think this beer will ever get "tart" per se, but it is bottle fermented with Brett so it may be worth sitting onto if you want to see if some funk will rise up.

Had a nice sesh on Friday and Saturday at the brewery, always seemingly running into familiar faces there. Love that.

Was super impressed with the ESB, had to load up a growler as well. Just exemplary of the style and supremely drinkable. More of this please.

Exp stout was very roasty, a lil aggro for me but overall pretty nice. Forever Green drinking like a dream and I'm honestly liking Nice Life with a little more time on it. Really does go down like sweet fruit juice.

They didn't have Forever on tap yesterday - I need to try that soon.

Nice Life is awesome. Got a growler of it.

Haven't tried from the bottle yet but I am probably cracking one in the next week or two. I'll report back here. Anthony said that is "drier" than the draft version. Bodes well IMO.

Also worth mentioning I got to try some of the Nelson IPA and Short, Dark & Handsome Stout from the fermenters. Nelson has some time but promises to be pretty bangin. The stout has got a strong coffee roast vibe and I think we'll be enjoying it carbed up soon.

I love Nelson hops, if OH can make a great Nelson IPA that would be awesome.

I recently had the ESB, Short Dark and Handsome, and sampled the EXP 06300. It's great to see them branching out in these directions and with really nice results. My faith in them just went up a notch.

That's great news! I hope this means they get more hype. Freaking Green Diamonds is world class stuff.
