I just had a Pseudo Sue received in a trade and it's not even close to Other Half Citra IPA. If u like Citra hops u have to try some!

So, who is coming next Saturday. ETA between 12 and 2pm. I know CaveDave is coming , I think Markgugs, anyone else? How will we know each other? If CaveDave looks like his picture, will be easy to identify him and crowd around him !

That's really high praise. I've had both and wouldn't rate Other Half Citra that high. I'll give it another try though. It sure is a very good brew at least.

I should be there on the 12th. And I do look like my avatar because my avatar is, well, me.

Other meet ups I've gone to do name tags, but that's really lame for a small tap room. I'll probably end up wearing one of my brewery shirts - my shut the duck up Lost Abbey shirt is pretty easy to spot. It's yellow.

U have it on tap or at the brewery? Wasn't expecting it to be my favorite but it was really good at the brewery, ended up getting a growler.

As much as I absolutely adore Other Half, we should keep in mind that it's a difficult comparison to beers obtained in trades or coming from across the country. It's nearly impossible to have an Other Half IPA (including variants) right now that wasn't kegged within the last two weeks, most even fresher than that. Bottle their beer and ship it to California with a month of age on it and it just isn't going to be the same.

That said... damned glad I live in NYC! (Though I'm stuck in NH for a month and once again missed Green Diamonds!!!)

Barrier is from Long Island, Nassau County to be specific.

@jrnyc I will be at Other Half on Saturday, the 12th with a friend of mine (who's coming with me to the Phish show that night). Whether we're there by 2pm remains to be seen, however.

Coopers in NYC having a tap takeover Thursday night with Peekskill, Other Half and Barrier. Peekskill and Other Half in same building, for me, hop heaven! Unfortunately I will be out of town for work.

Yup. Pointed out earlier! Sadly I can't edit the post.

@jrnyc don't worry - I doubt this will be the last time we see it.

Girlfriend and I stopped by Other Half yesterday. Literally a hole in the wall.

Solid beers across the board. If these guys blow up, they'll quickly be looking for a new tasting room location.

Anyone know if these guys are going to continue to have Thursday hours or if that was a one shot deal?

Also do I understand correctly that they will fill any growler except small mouth 32oz? Do they fill 32 and 64oz swing tops? Like the rest of you hoping to avoid bringing more new growlers home, shit is getting a little out of hand!

No swing tops given counter pressure fills, at least that is what they told me last time I was there.

I would guess the Thursday open was due to the July 4 holiday. Wouldn't expect it to continue, but would be pleasantly surprised if it does!

Thoroughly looking forward to the OH, Barrier and Peekskill event at Coopers this Thursday!

Have yet to try anything from OH or Peekskill.
