Other Half in IL (2020)

I'd really like Mylar Bags to somehow find its way into this rumored drop. It was the best of the bunch imo the last time Other Half showed up.

 

One of the recent Binny’s emails mention an Other Half collaboration With Binny’s. Maybe this is part of the drop?

Curious if you guys are getting Brooklyn or Rochester brews.

Buy anything Mosaic right now from them, it's their hot hop right now.

 

how can we tell which brewery? And which is better?

 

The address is on the government warning, but the easiest way to tell is Brooklyn has regular silver tab with a circle logo on the label, and Rochester has blue tab with a pentagon logo on the label.

I don't think one is clearly better than other, Rochester ones used to have off taste in beginning, but I am guessing the yeast have adapted. Which is good because you're probably getting that stuff since Western NY is effectively a Great Lake state.

I would also say be careful of Galaxy beers, they had couple of months where the hop was off (made for sub-par Space Diamonds and Mylar bags), but it seems like they got some new Galaxy bc the last week the Galaxy beers have been good.

 

Delayed? I feel like what we got on Instagram from TBC and TOB was news tonight.

 

All I know is Binnys rep still saying there is zilch in the system... meaning... it isn't headed there way yet.

 

Was going to say the same thing, all signs pointing to a delay. It sounds like the drop was initialed scheduled “by May 5th” but last night Patrick said this week he was told it is gonna be a month+ out but confirmed we will be getting a drop. Nothing posted on AJ Maka social media either, they were advertising the modern times drop at the beginning of last week. Hopefully it will be sooner than later but sounds like we will have even more time to save up.

 

Should be good stuff coming, they have definitely gone back to doing their classics. They can't drive line life now, so they aren't making 4 new IPAs a week, those one offs have a much lower batting average.

 

Do we know if this is still happening???

 

Someone get this man some rumors to corroborate whether the first rumors were true.
