There's definitely no lack of local pilsners, but with all the talk on here that OH only makes ipas I'm psyched to see them brew a series of pilsners and hopefully other styles(do they still have/use their fouders?) as mixed as the results have been.

Agreed. They really need to diversify their lineup. It's obvious though they have little incentive as long as the IPAs sell like hotcakes.

I love pilsners but I just can't justify paying $16 for a 4 pack when I can grab my favorite pils from Trader Joe's for $4

    $4?!? Bitburger?

I do think that's another good point, so many incredible German and Czech-produced pilsners and lagers out there (the abundance working against their desirability to certain craft drinkers) that are fantastic if you can find them fresh (and refrigerated---which is one critique of TJ's).

I mean I have no idea what LICBP is thinking pricing their Mexican lager at $20 this weekend. $16 seems to be what all of the locals are pricing their lagers at so its not that bad of a price I guess?

Seems to me like OH prices cans based on ABV, moreso than anything else. Aren't the session IPAs also $16?

There's going be a large influx of people getting off at Smith/9th St on Saturday heading to pick up their TD 5 Boro bike packets over on Pier 12 Saturday morning. https://www.bike.nyc/events/bike-expo-new-york/getting-there/

I just hope that doesn't make parking an issue but the Citi bike station there will probably be devoid of bikes that day

This isn't directly related to what you asked, but it reminded me to post my suspicion that OH may sometimes be inflating the ABVs they put on their labels.

It's purely anecdotal but I feel like I can drink a lot more fl oz of OH over the course of an evening while staying under my personal "drunk" threshold than I can with more commercial brands with similar ABV. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of their "8.5%" stuff was more like 7.5%.

I might try to do some experimenting on this, for the sake of science.

I'm almost certain that would be illegal, there are tolerances on the actual ABV vs the labelled ABV but its definitely not as much as 1%.

Speaking of ABV, Why is Mylar Bags still labelled as 8.5% when it's 8.8%?

I know it obviously depends on what is being released, but Ill be passing through Brooklyn on the way to NJ this Saturday around noon. Will I miss the boat, or do the cans usually kick around into the afternoon?
    Thanks in advance.

Triple Mosiac Daydream is tasty, similar to their other triple IPAs, they hide the ABV so well. Spicy Meatball and All Royal Everything are solid, have had better though.

Whichever can is a double batch should very likely be around past noon. I'm pretty certain everything else will be gone before then.

    board never disappoints.

just had a palantine and a metric back to back. might stroll into OH a couple weeks from now and pick up a 4 pack to compare.
