No, they might be mistaken for beached whales.

Has anyone had the beers yet? The Monkish and Hoof Hearted collabs have eh ratings on untappd (for Other Half standards). Although, they only have 20ish ratings each.

I tried both of them and thought the Monkish collab tasted like pretty much every other OH beer. I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I don't get why people line up overnight for certain cans.

While heavily hopped IPAs are OH’s bread n butter, I don’t think they could pull off a sour IPA that’s anything close to what’s coming out of Hudson’s Valley. I was a big proponent of the “sour-IPA-is-the-next-big-thing” camp until I learned more about the uniqueness and difficulty of Hudson’s portfolio and process. Their sour IPAs are all blends various oak-aged, stainless aged, and fresh ingredient/component beers brewed with an in-house culture they’ve been developing for the better part of a decade. I’m still waiting on a decent sour (or barrel aged beer of any sort) from OH... so yea I don’t see a complex blending operation in their near future.

I wasn't considering heading out this weekend, but the MTA's re-routes gives me direct service all the way there from the UWS (D replaces C until west 4, and then it replaces the F the rest of the way). The Other Half Express is hard to resist,

I think at this point the horse is a zombie and we need to smash its brains in or something like that.

Many reasons like trading and selling or even just for bragging rights.

The latest OH instagram post is both hilarious and sad. Handing out wrist bands at 3am?! OH employee will be at the end of the line from 3am until opening?! Madness.

Agreed. I tried both thought the hoof was eh and the monkish was good but usual OH. Decided to try to see if it's worth lining up and it isn't.

I'm missing something. If you get a wristband at 3am, and they are going sequentially, why can't I just leave and come back at 8:30 and find my place in line? Not certain that would qualify as line cutting.

Any thoughts on the new rules that were posted? "There is plenty of beer" but they are handing out wrist bands starting at 3AM. Also wrist bands "will go by number and be strictly enforced". In over 2 years I've never even been asked to even show a wrist band and now we are to believe that they will actually check numbers?

Did I miss something? Is Other Half giving away free gold bars tomorrow? This stuff feels like is should be in The Onion and in a movie called "Spinal Tap" . This madness has gone way beyond "jumping the shark"! Anyone waiting in line in the wee hours of the morning really should be embarrassed.

this exactly, why would you sit/stand/sleep outside if you had a numbered wristband and you could just come back hours later?

Why would anyone even get a numbered wrist band to begin with? Latest hyped release many of us rolled in and got plenty of beer at 12 pm with no line!
