Other Half beer tastes better 2+ weeks out.

 

Had a similar experience with the OG mylar.. a friend who I thought was bringing over a growler of the newly introduced ACE brought that instead, and I thought it was the greatest thing i'd had to that point. Then that chasing the the first sip expectations sets in.

I hold a lot of OH beers in high regard, but there's something about the mylar that just gets me every time. Maybe it's the combination of those five hops that just does some 'perfect storm' flavoring, but it's one of those beers that sometimes tastes a but muddled at first, and consistently warms up to perfection.

It's been said a few times already, but these DDH Forever Simcoe cans are drinking amazing right now .

 

The Other Half clientele is a spoiled bunch. I’m not talking about you fine folk but I see Magic Green Nuggets gets “bashed,” but I like it. To quote Lloyd Christmas, I like it uhlot.

It tastes like a beer. It’s got a nice fluffy citrus start and then a bit of a danky sweetness/candied malt on the finish. I know sweetness/malt = bad to a lot of people, but it works for me here.

Still out of my 4 cans...S/VS > FS > MGN > Layers. That Simcoe + Vic Secret DIPA is unbelievable.

 

I love MGN and really can’t understand the hate. It’s like OH’s take on Two Hearted. What’s not to love?

 

Just hit the taproom to get some Mylar Bags. Coco For What and a new stout called Double Sunset (Vanilla and Brazilian Coffee) were being bottled. #staytunedformore

The Cryo was much better than I expected! I thought it would be a gimmick...it's not. Definite fire.

Also agree, Coconut stout is fantastic.

Mylar on point.

Overall a damn good night.

 

Why do Other Half employees struggle so much with giving you the right 4-pack at the right price? I shouldn't have to double check my order and receipt every time.

I’ve never come across this. But I’m also terrible for paying attention. Will watch out for this in future!
