Really dig what Otter Creek is doing with their Brewmaster series and what looks to be continued with Backseat Burner.

    From the Otter Creek website:

This brew clocks in at 7% ABV with 68 IBUs, so load up your buds and partake in this juicy exploration of American hops.

*Available on draught beginning in mid-March and in six-packs, 12-packs and cases this April.

If this is half as good as Citra Mantra I'll be buying a lot of it.

Apparently there's also going to be an APA called Over Easy and they're both going to be year-round

They brought some to the Beer & Cheese Fest in Boston a couple weeks back. It was solid, not mind-blowing, though I'm looking forward to trying it again when I haven't just had some Pretty Things Cutie Pie & Mayflower Alden. :-)

Is it seasonal? If not I can deal with it, would love it to be year round. If its consistent, it has the making for a top notch beer. 12 packs! Not sure anyone has pulled this off for a Hoppy 7% IPA. I may be wrong?

    Nice
Fresh slice is in the series and came out in 12 packs of cans last year. Would be cool to get Over Easy in that format if it's good. I need an alternate to Left of the Dial.

And here I was just happy to be digging Citra Mantra again.

Otter Creek's really been putting out great new stuff in the past year or so.

Both are year-round brews. They canceled Copper Ale, Black IPA, and Hop Session Ales to make room for these 2 new year-round beer.

As they should have years ago...though I do have fond memories of both from years and years back

I actually loved Copper Ale as a throwback kind of beer. Like, "man remember what east coast craft beer was like 10+ years ago". Both Copper and the the Black IPA were great for the style, but tastes change.

What's the connection with. Long Trail, Wolavers, and Otter Creek? Are they all in the same facility?

I enjoyed Kind Ryed a lot subtle rye well made IPA. Also OC Russian Impy is a great beer!

They are all owned by the same company, Longtrail is in Bridgewater Corners and Wolavers and Otter Creek are brewed in the same location in Middlebury. Every once and a while beers for one brand are brewed at the other facility for some reason, the only way to tell is if your familiar with both of their bottle dating codes.

That Otter Creek IRS is the best OC beer I've ever had and I really hope they make it again, the Maple Liqueur Barrel aged version was pretty tasty too.

The Shed beer is also brewed as a brand at OCB in Middlebury.

has there been a new batch or is it still the 12/2012 batch that they seem to have every year (and is awesome!)?
