Worth going just for the special releases. Grapes of Wrath and Bad Apple were great at Sourfest.

Got the green light from the wife, will be making the trip up from Parker for the release. I've never made an Avery release so credit cards are ok, right? Probably a foolish question but I want to be prepared

According to drumrboy22 up above, it's cash only.

Yep, definitely cash only. All the Avery releases are now.

You could bring credit card and pay at the bar to get cash in return, but it's a major PITA.

Every release I have been to up there says that it is cash only but they have credit card machines at the tables and sure do take credit cards for the release.

Do they do tickets or a line or something? Like I said I am a noob for Avery brewery releases so it'd be nice to sample some brews while waiting.

They do a line, and hand out tickets in the line. They have a small bar set up right next to the line, so it's pretty easy to get someone to hold your spot for a second and step out to get a brew to enjoy while you are waiting.

Unless you come crazy early, the parking will be scarce. Best place I've found for releases is parking behind the buildings across the street from the tap room. Bring your walkin shoes!

Really doesn't matter when you get there. Drumrboy22 tried to set me straight on this early on, but I had to experience it for myself...

They have only sold out a single release AT the release - Meretrix. All others had surplus when they closed at the end of the day. Our plan is to arrive around 4, have a few and hang out until the line is gone, then grab our bottles. Trust me, there is no rush.

Hope I might see some of you all there! I'll be the guy drinking...

I'll either be drinking inside or outside. I'll be the guy in shorts and a shirt. If you see me say hi.

Pretty sure Margarete sold out too. I was one of the lucky ones and left with several bottles.

Maybe I got that wrong. Knew it was an "M" beer. But I know only 1 sold out. That part I got right.

I thought I was going to make it to Avery today for the release, but last minute plans have come up. If anyone has a chance to snag some extra bottles, shoot me a BM.

At the release. Turns out there is a 12 bottle limit per person, not 6.
