Walked into a store today and they had a bunch of Anchor Christmas 2007 and 2010 6 packs. Anyone have any experience with these recently. Do you guys think they would be any good right now.

A 2007 Anchor Our Special Ale would definitely be good right now, assuming it was cellared under proper conditions since 2007. On a store shelf for the past 5 years probably wouldn't be considered optimal conditions though.

No idea about the last 5 years but they were in the cooler. So their is some hope I think

Go get those suckers! It's at least worth a try if it's a decent price but could potentially be great.

I actually just popped open an '07 I've had cellared this last January and it was drinking well.

Probably too late, but we did a verical of this going back to '97 a few months back and found that it really fell off starting with the '07. We agreed 1-2 years was optimal, but it will depend on whatever tweaks they do to the recipe each year.

If these have been in a cooler their whole life they may have a chance, but considering the relatively low ABV and use of spices this can't go super long.

Me and my buddy shared a bottle of the 1992 a few weeks ago... it was ok, but not amazing.

The magnum of 2002 was a lot better...

On a side note, in case people don't realize, sometimes older versions will show up during the holiday season. For example, my local shop got 2007,2008, etc a couple of years after they were released. Not sure if this is the brewer or distributor, but it happens.

Somebody I know has a 89' bottle of this and wants to share it with me! Anybody think it will be drinkable?

(it was kept in a fridge since it was purchased)
