I'm headed out to Owatonna for Thanksgiving with my in-laws and was curious if there were any good beer spots nearby. In the past, I've found some nice bottle shops and things but always in or much closer to Minneapolis. Thanks for any tips an cheers.
Haskell's is actually in Faribault, about 15 min north of Owatonna. They have a decent selection and some of the things that sell out in the TC are still on the shelf there. I've been to a handful of liquor stores in Owatonna, and it's not very good. They'll have a decent amount of 6 packs of craft beer, but a very small amount of bombers. Not really a craft beer hotbed. I'd say stop at Haskell's, otherwise there's Blue Max in Burnsville about 45-50 min north of Owatonna that has a great selection.
Thanks for the help - figured that was probably the case. I'll check these places out and if need be hit something on the way out to Owatonna from the airport.
