@mrmattosgood Subby has been around all the good beer stores fairly regularly the past few months, so you should have no trouble even if they happen to be sold out at the brewery. Yesterday I saw a guy walking out of my local Hannaford with a 4-pack of it.

 

Scooped a can of Sap Haus on a lark, drinking it now and shit this beer is good. I will absolutely positively grab a 4 pack at some point.

 

The only beer (on a six tap list) I didn’t drink on tap this past weekend. I hope to see it in the wild.

 

I wonder how many people end up buying this beer because they think it says "Wet Hopped IPA"? Though I guess since it's in a bottle anyone looking for an IPA would likely pass right by this

 

I would hope they pick a four pack up and enjoy the shit out of it. And tell their friends and then Oxbow is in every store!

 

Has anyone had the more recent batch of Sap Haus? Have they dialed back the smoke on this beer?

 

I had one about a week ago and I was surprised at how little smoke was in this beer. I hadn't had this beer before but I've had other Oxbow smoked beers which have been great. It was a great beer still but I was disappointed in it since if I drank this blindly I probably wouldn't have guessed it was a smoked beer (or maple for that matter).

 

I didn’t realize NM changed with each batch. Again & Again is a beer that I adore. It’s a simple, beautiful table beer. I actually toyed with the idea of buying half a case last time I was there because, well, holidays and it’s not only delicious but ornamental on a table. But if I’m spending $60 on that beer, basically I forfeit $50 on other great Oxbow beers.

Maybe this lasts til the spring. The 750s don’t tend to travel to stores. Anyone passing through Maine and coming back through 495, I’ll stand on the side of the highway and accept a bottle like it’s a baton in a relay.

Looking at the Instagram page, I don't see an announcement for this. What are the odds I could get one of you Mainers to ship one my way (wouldn't hurt to try the Saison du Smeirlap either )? You know, whole travel ban and all.

 

Really wanting to try that smeirlap but on a medically-induced beer break til after christmas. bummin.
