I'll tell you what I love: The clear bottle approach Oxbow is using for their beers like Magenta and Pinkette. Now, Apricot Sunset. Just beautiful packaging. Also, shout out to Will Sears who does the labels. We don't give enough love to him. He's just unreal. Typography game is just off the charts.

(I send all these new Oxbow releases to my wife on Instagram. It's my way of subtly hinting when I want to go. I'm hoping she sees her DM's and says, "You should go." Doesn't happen all the time, but when it does...)

I’m excited to head up in a few days to pick up my bottles of MtL, now bottles of Apricot Sunset too. (MBC is dropping a batch of Dinner on Friday, by the way). And I’m properly armed with my negative test results for COVID-19! Look out.

    Best labels in the game.

I like Burlington better. Super clean but still fun and the white really catches the eye. They did start tweaking them for some reason though and they look more busy now. They are starting to blend in with everything else on the shelf.

#SaisonSaturday planning begins today and I'm going to crowdsource my choice(s).

I'm going to run up to Silvaticus and grab a couple farmhouses this afternoon -- hmm, maybe I'll grab a beer too -- and I'm debating between Many Hands and Forest/Maine. Both I'm very excited about, but, as my Oxbow stash is getting low, I'm trying to space them out, so I'll only do one.

Welcome to The Movement, @Sheppard. There's work to be done. Glad to have you on the front lines. What are you drinking?

I'm fully on board. For years, my wife and I would do Sour Sundays (not the kettle sour lactose marshmallow crap) but now we enjoy farmhouse beers most days we drink.

Maybe they should let us have our own thread.

I actually have a lot of options. It's a beer geek cliche, but I'm up at my parents where I am currently keeping my cellar and I want to say most of my cellar is farmhouse beers (TY HF). I do have the Freckled Fields and Rove I got from Fox Farm yesterday but also have that Allagash clay pot spontaneous beer from last year, Coolship Balaton, a couple of Fermentery Form beers. There are a lot of good options.

EDIT: I have a deep cut that I want to bust out, but I need to find it.

    Important programming note:

Just came across 3 Fontienen Oude Gueuze and Oxbow From Beyond at Leary’s in Amesbury (GREAT saison selection, including a bunch of Oxbow — Many Hands, Theriez, etc).

Add two farmhouse ales from Silvaticus and #SaisonSaturday is a go. I repeat. A go.

I’m in for tomorrow. Hitting Allagash when they open.

I’ll start a thread tomorrow. I’d like to see what everyone is drinking. I’m not too much of a “this beer has an effervescence that rivals the Texas sky with a subdued peach nose” kinda reviewer, but to each their own. Let us know what ya liked!

Before the fall comes (and we are all shut inside forever again), I’ll head back to Oxbow and ensure I can drink this & others all fall long.

Get one of these and a ‘17/‘18 blend for a little side-by-side action.

Oxbow is releasing "Surf Melon" - https://www.instagram.com/p/CDMtGmdJQw7/

Now Available! Surf Melon is a gently-salted grisette brewed with American hops, wheat, watermelon, and fresh limes. Hazy straw in color with juicy notes of fresh watermelon, lime zest, lemon peel, and white pepper with a dry, lightly tart, and subtly salty finish.
