I saw Apricot Sunset (rise?) made it to Fort Point Market. Anyone peep it anywhere else? I’m all about this Oxbow 750’s these days

I did. And it was like $12 or $13 vs $20 at the brewery.

That seems like a steep difference? I know a lot of breweries don't undercut local shops, but..... I think I paid 17.50 for the first fruits I am drinking now from the brewery. Does that typically go for much less at beer shops? I am really enjoying it and would like to get some more, especially if I can find it cheaper and locally to central Massachusetts.

No, their 500ml long term aged wilds/fruited beers go for around $17 in bottle shops. Some of the newer, lightly aged wild 750ml beers have been going for around $12.

Yeah, at the place I go to for my Oxbow stash, it's a slight markup (though ultimately inconsequential). For instance, I paid $17.50 for Forest/Maine and I saw it for $18 at the bottle shop. I paid $16 for From Beyond and it is $15 at the brewery. Ends up being cheaper without gas and tolls.

I, too, would like to see more 750s especially since we aint allowed in Maine anymore.

Maybe this is for the CT shelf thread but does anyone know what’s distributed to CT and are we receiving regular shipments? I believe Luppolo and Farmhouse were in state several weeks ago but I haven’t been to a well curated store recently.

Seems like a tasty warm weather option.

As far as overall vibe, how do the Oxford and Newcastle locations compare as a cool outdoor spot to hit while going for a drive? Any other Maine breweries that have sort of a farm brewery vibe?

Never been to the Oxford spot, but the Newcastle location is great: Peaceful, relaxing. Hear yourself think and unwind with likely an awesome tap list. Plus, you can walk the woodsy grounds to stretch your legs.

Thanks. Yes, I've actually been there too. I'm wondering if there are more places like in Maine.

Grabbed my first 4 pack today. Really nice. It has all the same qualities I love about surfcasting, with subtle, fresh watermelon rind on the finish. Surfcasting still beats it out though.

Odd Alewives is very much a farm brewery in Waldoboro, about 20 miles north on Rte. 1 from Newcastle. Great saisons made with flowers & herbs grown on-premises.

Do we know anything about Goods from the Woods yet?

Thanks. That looks like what I was looking for. Going to try to hit Oxbow Newcastle and Odd Alewives as i drive north. Wish Oxbow opened earlier than 1 on a Saturday. Oxbow Newcastle is beer only, no food?

Anyone watch the Yeti flight school show on Instagram? Tim had Tod Mott last week and Kris Johnson from Green Bench this week.

I didn’t watch it all (I was editing and had it on in the background), but good stuff. Now I want beer.

Enjoying a can of Grand Royal as I type, I'm no good at providing beer descriptions but this is a great beer. Crisp and simple yet leaves you wanting another sip. I'm going to need to get another for further review. My Helles experience is limited so I'm excited to try more of the style

Also grabbed a can of Surf Casting. Looking forward to enjoying that for the first time while I'm on the course this weekend

Have a tee time at West Bridgewater CC (formerly River Bend). Only played there once before but it was a nice course and in good shape. Pretty challenging too
