Hopleaf is having a Chicago Launch Event for Oxbow this Friday. Anyone have more detail around the availability of Oxbow beers in Chicago? I've enjoyed what I've had while in Portland.
Oxbow is distro'd by Shelton Bros who have been known to just do drops like this in a market. We may get more someday. We may not. But I doubt they are producing enough beer to get it regularly.
Hopleaf is promoting it as a launch event which leads me to believe they are going to start distributing here. Could be wrong - but if I am, they shouldn't be using the word launch.
Talked to the Oxbow guy pouring at Beer Temple today and he confirmed they are distributing to Chicago and this week has been their introduction to the market.
I didn't press him on what would be distro'd as he was fairly slammed, but those were the same 4 selling at Beer Temple on Saturday. I walked out with Cross Fade and that BA Farmhouse Pale Ale. All tasted great though.
Was at the Windy City Distributing Expo yesterday and Oxbow had a table set up pouring 5 or 6 of there beers so I would imagine they will be on the order sheets and popping up in more stores pretty soon.
