Oxbow: New Bottles

I will be in Portland Dec. 29-30. Unless there is a bottle release of Native Wild corresponding with those dates, are those beers (or their variants) ever available for onsite consumption? I checked the Oxbow website just now (admittedly just this once so only one data point) and didn't see any. Just want to know what the chances are of me trying some of their spontaneously fermed beers

I'm not sure about the Native Wilds specifically, but they have had limited bottles for onsite consumption while I was there this past summer and fall. If they don't, Novare Res seems to always have a good amount of their bottles available, may be worth checking to.

Last time I was at novare res a couple months ago and I asked if they had native wild bottles, they called oxbow to ask. While I didn’t the go ahead to get one, may be worth asking at oxbow if you visit directly if they’d let you try one at novare. Might seem like begging, but never hurts to ask. *shrug*

The low bush bottle I had at novare was one of my favorite fruited sours I’ve ever had.

 

Oxbow had bottles of the 17 batch of Native Wild the last two times I went (last was around 11/4), and given the amount of time they've been advertising these bottles over the last few weeks, I'd be pretty surprised if they didn't have any for onsite consumption. And you should definitely get some, it's phenomenal.

 

Yeah man this beer was really good. If I lived closer, I'd be at that place once a week.

Only 2 cases in Portland. They might as well have been gone when I left at 1210

I wish Oxbow would put out something in a 4pk similar to Allagash and at the $10 price point (I've been on a big Hoppy Table kick as of late). I love see them do that with their FPA, if they did it would be in my fridge.

 

Agreed. FPA in 4pks would be great. However, during the summer I can easily put down a 750

 

pffft amateur hour. I've consumed entire 64 oz growlers on my own of their fpa.

 

I'd rather see 4 packs of Loretta, more grisette!!!

 

I’m all over that first fruits. If Boston doesn’t see that beer I’ll have to drive back up to Oxbow.
