Oxidation during bottling?

    Drink them first. Keep a marker handy to put an 'X' on the cap of the last bottle or two that needs to be drank first because of this induced air. You're going to drink 1-2 bottles anyway to test for adequate carbonation after a week and then again after 10 days, so let your testing be directed at these two bottles.

    yeah like a noob i was using the autosiphon for the bottling instead of the spigot for my first 8 batches. next one I'll use the spigot, I'm hoping that will help reduce the amount of air in the tube used for bottling. I do have a bottling wand that is spring-loaded so it does fill bottom-up. Thinking about picking up a co2 tank to use for purging when bottling. no room for a kegerator at the moment, so the bottling will have to continue!

    Its not that noob-ey. I do that everytime (I don't have a spigot on my bucket though)

    Still the tipping thing works to minimize those bubbles even with the siphon.
