Heading to PEI in August, what can I find there is terms of craft beer? Do Propeller or Garrison export to the Island? Any good beer shops that anyone can recommend?
Are you heading to Charlottetown? That's pretty much the only place you'll find some craft beer. Only Provincial Liquor Stores in PEI, and the best is probably Oak Tree (359 University Avenue Charlottetown, PE C1A 4M7, http://www.peilcc.ca/index.php3?number=1022610&lang=E). There's another decent one on Queen Street, very close to Gahan House (126 Sydney St, http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/2242), which is the only craft brewery on the island. Their Pale Ale is pretty decent. As for Propeller and Garrison, Garrison will have a few offerings at the LC, and you should be able to track down something from both at pubs along Queen St. There are a few BAs in PEI, so let us know when you're going, maybe we could meet for a pint? I'm from NS, but will be there Aug 7-10 for work. Up for a trade? PM me if you'd like.
