    Hey all,

Going to Peach Fest with friends in Scranton, PA this week. Looking for good canned beer to bring to the event; preferably one that isn't available in WI. It's looking like it will be quite warm so a good lager or session ale would be best. If there are other can't miss options (other styles or bottles) let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

Best bet would be beers from either Sly Fox (Pikeland Pils or Dunkel Lager) or Neshaminy Creek Brewing (Croydon Cream Ale).

There is also Yuengling Summer Wheat and Yuengling Lord Chesterfield Ale, since Yuengling is not sold in WI

So just to clarify you want PA canned beer that is not available in WI. Could you get access to the Philly area breweries? Sly Fox and Neshaminy are great options, Tired Hands are in super high demand and require waiting in line, just didn't know what your options were. I know Victory distributes everywhere but they just recently started canning more regional options and I don't know how far those have gone.

If you aren't looking for PA specific beer I have been hyping up most Jacks Abby brews as they distro here in philly and have a lot of great summertime options. The Calyptra is my favorite session beer right now. As for other regional cans Conshohocken and Manayunk are also good bets.

Just to clarify, it doesn't have to be a PA brewery. It would be cool to enjoy some beers we don't have access to in WI. If it happens to be from PA, even better. We do get Victory in WI, although I haven't had much of their offerings and nothing from a can. Summer Love was good.

The Sly Fox beers sound appealing (especially the Pikeland Pils). Are these readily available even a ways outside of Philly? We were going to be doing most of our shopping in Wilkes-Barre.

Victory Prima Pils is now available in cans.

Also, Sly Fox has a summer variety pack:

There might still be some Troegs Nimble Giant cans around.

I'll second Neshaminy and Sly Fox beers. Fresh County Line is outstanding but may be a bit high ABV for what you are looking for. Prima Pils, Summer Love, Vital, and Headwaters should all be easy to find
Victory canned beers in the Scranton/WB area. Stop at Sabatini's in Exeter and you'll def find something.

Sort of. They don't sell beer at the brewery. When they do releases, it's at other locations around S/W-B. You have to watch Facebook to see where they are selling. But if they have a release soon, you'll definitely want to get it on it.

Hell's yeah! See ya at Peach!

Another option on your way to peach would be to stop at 18th street in Hammond, IN They've got plenty of cans and should still have some grapefruit dead.

    At $22 for a 4-pack of 12oz cans I assume it'll be available for a while.

Old Forge - T-Rail Pale Ale in 16oz. cans - super refreshing and should be easy to find throughout NEPA.

For something inexpensive, local, lower ABV and tasty; I would suggest Neshaminy Creek Croydon Cream Ale.

Agree with everyone who mentioned Neshaminy Creek. County Line IPA is great but 6.6% might be more than what you're looking for. alternative may be their Pale Ale, J.A.W.N, which is 5.2% and pretty good as well.

We are flying otherwise that would be an option, along with a boat load of Moon Man cans too. Maybe we'll cross paths at Peach!

Thanks for the recommendations everyone. What's the best bang for the $ in terms of quality beers (not necessarily just abv)? New Glarus sells Moon Man 12 pack cans for $14. Are there any deals like that in PA?

Not in Southeastern PA. I can buy 6-packs of Sly Fox for around 8 bucks. Neshaminy Creek 6-pack are over 10 bucks (11.99?) for me.

Maybe @rodgers would be willing to share his prices with you.

    Cheers!

You won't find any deals like that in NEPA. $18-20 range is where you'll find 12 packs from Sierra Nevada, Victory, Troegs and other similar breweries. Most Neshaminy Creek 6 packs I see up here are in the $12 area as well
