If you baggie each bottle, and line the inner box with a 30 gal trash bag twisted tight and taped, no beer can get out. I think if you double box and use enough foam wrap and bubble wrap, they would have to run it over with a truck to make it leak. The last box I sent out would a survive a 10 ft drop quite easily, there was enough wrap to safely buffer each bottle, I used dense foam then bubble wrap on each bottle, then a layer of foam or bubble wrap in between each layer. The key is good boxes and double boxing them.

Meh. I just tie it up inside the box.

Anyone ever try using a SuperSaver (or other vacuum sealer) to actually seal a whole beer? That would certainly do the trick, lol.

The guy getting the beer would hate you.

They're actually pretty easy to open. You just cut the outer edge and it opens up.

Now I want to try this, lol. Oh the looks from the wife.

Ya know that's right my wife already thinks I'm nuts and every time she opens the beer closet she gives me funny looks. I think there a point where trading beers to drink turns into an obsession to acquire and collect. I have a hard time cracking open bottles, one because it's only me who like what I have, and I can't drink a 750 of Black Tuesday by myself. Two some of the bottles although nowhere near whale status aren't very easy to get. Which is why 12 oz bottles are so very convenient.

This is not true. I recently had a box destroyed that made it all the way from IA to the destination city in CA. I contacted as many people as I could at that facility, and got names and reference #s so I could file a claim. I hadn't gotten around to it yet, but FedEx sent me a check for the insurance amount plus shipping cost.
