While I can uunderstand that we all have this little things that irritate us (like leaving an empty box of your favorite ice cream sandwich in the freezer. I feel like a freaking racoon with its arm in a trap shaking it around). However, it is nearly impossible to meet somebody's expectations when they are not known. If it is that much of a big deal, make that a part of the trade conversation. Most of us on here are in it for more than just the beer. Making somebody happy is definitely a part of this, and i will always try to ensure that is done.

I've been using this same method for awhile now and have gotten many compliments from my trading partners. It's easy to get the saran wrap off and then the bubble wrap wrap is reusable.

I am guilty as charged for putting electrical tape on the caps of the bottles I send. I taped one of my own homebrews and removed the tape a week later, no residue.
Is it necessary? Probably not- but I haven't lost a single bottle that I've taped the cap on, so it's almost like a superstition at this point.
