The Walmart by my house in the middle of nowhere had 2 week old PseudoSue in 12 packs for $16. Haven’t been drinking this beer due to freshness but this beer is absolutely crushing right now. I missed it. And the price is wild.

That is a crazy deal. Pretty sure msrp is much higher that $16. At least $22

I've only ever seen the 12 packs at a meat market by my house for $27.99 and Woodman's for $24.99 and they were months and months old.

I was visiting some friends in Iowa a few months ago and ordered a can of Sue at a run of the mill restaurant.

It was over 2.5 months old, but it tasted fantastic and crisp. I’m not sure what they do to the beer, but I’m no longer weary about picking up Sue that’s been sitting for a bit.

I lost a few cans of Psuedo Sue in the back of my fridge last year. Bought it really fresh, and 2 cans got buried in the back of the fridge. Found them just after the expiration date, and they still tasted pretty nice. TG seems to have great packaging. Cold storage helps a ton as well, significantly slows oxidation

Another shoutout to Elmhurst Brewing. New brewer really knows how to design hoppy beers. Their “Dad Bod” pale ale is hilariously named and brialltiantly constructed.

Easily one of the best classic APAs I’ve had in a while. I said The Sound by Maplewood was a beer that will one day win a medal at GABF, and I think Dad Bod is the same way. Both are quintessential, textbook examples of their style. Centennial, cascade, and some Citra for good 2023 measure. Sierra Nevada style balance.
I encourage anyone in the elmhurst to visit after their phase three visit. The new brewer is making some good good stuff
