Ayinger and Spaten are nice but they are sweet and amber. I am looking for a straw colored O'fest.

Is that the new limited release Wies'n Fest H-P in the .5l swing-top bottle? Been keeping my eyes open for that one myself. And Paulaner usually has their Wies'n Fest out, but I haven't seen it at all this year.

Zeltbier rocks! I hope they bottle this in bombers someday.

Do you when this is being released? I normally grab a half of this every year and it's always a big hit with friends and family

Typically by the Downingtown Fall fest which is Sept 28 this year.

Oaktoberfest is on the pale side but slightly darker than most of the actual Oktoberfestbiers. Definitely very dry this year with a little more hop presence than most but not outrageous. More like a vienna lager than anything, I guess, as the gravity is also technically lower than German maerzen range. Quite drinkable if i do say so myself.
