I'll be visiting the Palm Desert, California area. I am interested in Belgian style brews from the area or or German styles or really anything besides IPAs. I'm okay with take away if COVID restrictions enjoying at the brewery.
Any advice on good brews in or around the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area?
    Cheers!

I think you’re probably out of luck. I believe there are only 3 breweries in the area and they don’t brew those styles. La Quinta’s Old Town taproom has guest breweries on tap. Might be your best shot.

Depending on the direction your coming in to Palm Desert area you can stop at Homage in Pomona. Speaking of Homage what happened to the second location in Chinatown DTLA?

Homage? He didn't ask for wine/beer hybrids.

So did they scrap plans for their DTLA location? Or delayed due to Covid?

I have no good suggestion for the Palm Springs/Palm Desert area

    but

If you find yourself in Joshua Tree, Sam’s Market has a top notch beer selection. Dont miss the walk-in cooler

I'm not sure what the latest is, but I believe just a delay. I was a fan of Homage early on, but their decision to just make beer/wine hybrids now and force people to line up for releases over the last year has changed that a bit.

I forgot about Alps Village. Would be a fun double with Desert Beer Company. I-10 and Washington area.

I went to Las Palmas Brewing when I was in Palm Springs a couple weeks back and was impressed. They do farmhouse beers so you might find something there. They have a nice patio in the back which is very pleasant - lots of plants!

They are also a natural wine bar.

Dang, I was there a couple of weeks ago too (first time in about 30 years). Don't know how I missed this place. I'll make sure to hit it up next time I'm over that way (it won't take another 30 years).

    When is your visit?

Spotlight 29 Casino just opened a Brewery/Taproom in the past couple of months. The beers are solid, there is a Tripel on tap and plenty of non-IPA choices including Bell's The Wild One.
