Panama City Beach, FL - Beer Bars & Bottle Shops

    My sister lives in Panama City, FL and is getting married in October. I'll be flying down with my wife for a Wednesday-Saturday trip and staying in Panama City Beach (hopefully on the water). Anyways it seems like a BMC spring break town.

    Is there any bottle shops and bars that serve up good craft beers?
    Do supermarkets have good beer selection in FL? Any better than others?

    I have really enjoyed all the Terrapin that she has smuggled to CT for me and SweetWater as well (those are both GA brews but available in FL - Gainesville where she used to live has a really nice bottle shop - Tipple's Brews). I'm not too hot on Cigar City with the exception of a few OK beers but nothing blew me away.

    Not to sound like a dick but just use the search forum feature. There are plenty for threads about PCB (including recent ones).

    Yes! Make sure you check out FishAle, best bottle shop is Wine World located on back beach road next to Publix.

    Publix also has a create your own 6 pack which is decent. But Wine World has a great selection.

    And you can't beat FishAle! Make sure you go!!!

    Heres their beer menu and it looks really accurate from what they had when i was there a couple of weeks ago.

    Also if you have anymore questions don't hesitate to ask. I know the area great I've been staying with relatives during my summer off from school for the last 14 years (I'm now in college) and been visiting all my life.. just got back from being there two months a week ago..

    Anytime be sure to ask if you need anything else!!! The beer was extremely fresh for having so many and you get a very small sample before buying one if you ask which was great! The bartender was awesome too. I need to write up a review ... They had all their harpoon beers for $2.50 each the day I was there I didn't see it on the board till my last beer though haha. So make sure to check that.

    Ahhh I forgot about the food. I got a burger and fries and it was $10 I can't really remember what the prices on everything else the appetizers were half off during happy hour I believe. The good was mediocre from what u had but the beer more then made up for it, it was the reason I was there after all. The food was priced a little above average for what it was. I still wouldn't hesitate to go back it sucks living in eastern Kentucky .... You don't understand... I have no options at all by me like I do when there..

    A little late to the thread, but Fishale food is actually quite good. There are, I think 65 beers on tap and one of the most knowledgeable staffs anywhere. We take all our guests there at least once per visit. If you're at the beach, this may not help, but Lynn Haven (about a 25 minute drive from the PCB Wal*Mart) has a decent bottle shop and liquor store: Top Shelf.

    FishAle was a highlight of the trip! We did run into a WalMart and I laughed hard when I saw a great selection of beer. ha-ha. Beach Liquors served me well though too.

    Kwiker Liquor, a couple of blocks from Fish Ales, has a good beer selection, and 8+ draft taps.
