There is a Facebook post from Jan 6 of last year saying "stay tuned for updates and a possible sneak preview". Haha that's over a year ago.

From what I was told by a guy who installed their equipment according to Jon he just brews the beer. Also heard comments about him hating on tree house. Apparently doesn't get it yet doesn't have a fraction of the QC and work ethic of Nate. Claims to be brewing the types of beers that draw people in, not necessarily what he would prefer. Hence an opening with nothing but new England ipas.

There is more to the SH story and Jon taking several different jobs that didn't pan out.

This place could very well be another back east with rotating head Brewers if he doesn't get his shit together.

The guy may very well brewing some good beer but his management ethic appears questionable at best. I hope that things go well. I just don't know how I feel about supporting a guy that doesn't seem to respect his customers or employers.

Since we’re on the topic of back east for a minute, what is the problem over there? Why are brewers coming and going so much? I live close to the brewery and support them but it’s like every other month you hear about a new brewer coming and another leaving. Is it tony? Or what?

I just talked to one of the owners of parable. He seems very friendly and knowledgeable about running a brewery. He said they are shooting for an opening in 2 weeks, but with all the delays who knows. So stoked that its still moving forward.

8 crowler limit, 256 oz limit on growler fills and pours on-site for consumption.... while ambitious, it seems like a recipe for a sh!tshow. That is, if they open.

Fingers crossed that Jon Peterson aces this transition. The man made some amazing beers back at Steady Habit.

Just went.I Didn’t have any beer there but I grabbed a crowler to go of the IPA. Staff was very friendly, and the space is nice. Parking lot was a shit show however.

Not enough parking. It wasn't overly crowded which was nice. Definitely a good amount of people there though. Also the IPA was great. smelled exactly like Julius and tasted great. Mouth feel was a bit weird however, almost a bit chalky. It wasn't off putting though.

So they opened for one day, now they will "let us know" when they are open again?

Needed a little cash flow to get the next release ready.

Agree, but IIRC, New Park did the same thing? Just sayin'.

New Park got overrun that first day, there was a half hour wait to get in the place. (I was there) Subsequently they ran out of beer and had to wait to re-open. I don't think they planned to shut down. I could be wrong but that doesn't sound like that was the case at Parable. It doesn't sound like it was that crowded. Post above said it wasn't "overly crowded". So sounds like this was planned. Open, get some cash and plan to open again. I think New Park planned to stay open right through but underestimated the demand and ran out of beer......Not sure they are the same thing...

Yeah, between the delayed opening and now the pause, it doesn't seem like the best run business, but in the end, who cares... there's plenty of other good beer around until they open again. They'll get their legs under them eventually.

If they were out of money, they should have either never opened or open only when they can produce beer and serve their customers on a regular basis. Horrible business "model"!
