Parabola 2014

Chicagoan here, parabola came and went 2 weeks ago in Chicago. It's crazy how FW distributes.

 

I think it was in the low-mid 20s. Typical for boxed FW in Chicago.

 

Saw probably a couple cases on the shelf at American Deli and Liquor in Bakersfield. Not sure on price. I buy all mine in SLO where it's $16 a bottle.

 

Any OC sightings?

 

I said it in the release forum, too, but if anyone in the Sacramento area ends up with some extra bottles of the 2014 Parabola, I'd be interested in a swap for 2013.

 

Still hasn't hit long beach... Unless I missed it? I'm sure bevmo hasnt got it yet

 

Released in Bakersfield on Friday. Pricing ranged from $16.99-$18.99.

 

yeah Santa Clara County seems to get things a little later than most.

 

I gotta make my rounds looking for this stuff.

Anybody know why it's released much earlier this year? Normally doesn't come out until late may or early June, was shocked to know it's out this year in March. Are they pulling it out of barrels sooner, or did they just brew it earlier?

 

I feel like it has been coming out earlier and earlier each year. Probably due to fitting in DDBA, Velvet Merkin and now Stickee Monkey into the Reserve line up.

 

I think last year it was cranked out around April. And yeah, Stickee Monkey getting a bottle release in the time slot Parabola was released last year means they had to bump it up a little.

 

Sounds like a lot coming out real soon here. I am going to need to hit up my new local beer spots and get on the good side with the beer guys.

 

Lets face it, FW wants all our money. And they will get it....

i got a word from harbor rep, they wont release it until april 1st here in so cal..hope its not true

 

I was told April 1st too, here in LA

 

Apparently Bevmo in East Pasadena had some, came and went, according to the employee (possibly misinformed) I asked.

 

Any updates on the South Bay whereabouts?

 

April 1st in So Cal according to everything I've heard.
