This question came to me last night while drinking a Velvet Merkin. We know the base beers for Merkin and Double DBA, and Firestone lists the components of most of the barrel'd beers on their website. Have the base (non-barrel'd) beers for Parabola and §ucaba ever been revealed or tasted? People have tasted the base beer of BCBS before (Cook County Stout, Big John, Night Stalker), and the one thing FW is missing from their lineup in my opinion is a good, non-barrel aged Imperial Stout. Anyone have any information regarding these two base beers?

Parabola is one base beer and is never packaged on its own. Abacus is a secret formula that isn't disclosed.

Black Xantus is barrel-aged. And also, Nectar/Humboldt is only loosely affiliated with FW, as far as I can tell.

FW sold Nectar in 2012. Nectar may still be contracted brewed at FW, but eventually that will end because FW is going to need the capacity for itself.
