Parabola release info

    So I understand Parabola is a May release. Are certain markets still waiting on it? There's a few online stores that I've purchased Parabola and Sucaba from in the past and I check almost daily...but I've yet to see Parabola go up for sale this year. Was it more limited this year?

    I can tell you that it still hasn't hit MA yet. I don't know what the story is beyond that though.

    Okay, that's a good sign

    And that's an even better sign -- one of the online vendors is located in NJ.

    2010: 1000 cases (12,000 bottles)
    2011: 3000 cases (36,000 bottles) (but this press release says 3500 cases / 42,000 bottles)
    2012: 3000 cases (36,000 bottles) (but this conversation implies 45,000 bottles)

    from firestone? shocking.

    We get tons of FW up here in Seattle and it's not hard to find at all. As a matter of fact, there's still a good amount of Parabola around town.

    fosterjm is in california - i'm aware it's easy to get outside the state. :slight_smile: the above numbers don't justify its scarcity around san diego, which is why i boycott firestone.

    I live in San Diego (5 hour drive from FW), couldn't find (enough) Parabola, and ordered it from Idaho.

    Came and went in Santa Rosa fairly quickly. But miraculously, last week, and bunch showed up again. Thank you Parabola gods.

    Yeah I can second BuckeyeOnes comment, still on the shelves everywhere in Seattle. Sucaba is also still sitting on some shelves.

    ive noticed some lately as well, some places like to hold a case or 2 back and release it during the summer. with so many cool beers popping up lately i passed on it.

    i cant wait for ddba tho!

    Its still sitting on shelves up here in Bakersfield as well. A store just recently ran out of '11 bottles if that's any indication. The same store still has 13, 14, and 15 anniversaries on the shelf.

    Many stores in NJ have already got it and it went very fast, but some stores may still be waiting on their shipments, I'm not sure since I think FW uses multiple distributers here.

    I've heard 45K as well. We get a ton of FW beers in MA, but, they regularly show up shelves 4-8 weeks after everybody else.

    Which, reading your linked "this conversation" image, makes for some extremely interesting conclusions. We still don't have Parabola in MA yet, and there is much debate about what is actually going on. If it was sent out first, it's been sitting in distro warehouses for quite a while.
