Sounds like FW needs to readjust there distribution considering our area barely got any. The retailers I spoke with had a very hard time getting it from the wholesaler and the few they did get went in a day or two.

I think it was State Line...he was on a trip, so I know he hit a few places. Might want to call.

Got it in MA last year but not until the fall. Expecting the same this year.

If the store you speak of is Imbibe, that's because they have the 12 listed at $30 and the 11 at $60, which is absurd. Why they charge twice the going rate as most other stores, and are about an hour and change from the brewery, is a bit offensive. They'll have plenty of Parabola for a while at that price.

F*** Imbibe! 11 is only $50 though. I haven't seen a single one sold since the FW tasting a couple months ago. Shocking right? And even that night with people gushing abou how good it was, they only sold one bottle. They really don't care about beer there. They see it simply as an option to make more money. Their bread and butter is the wine drinkers.
Every other craft beer shop in town has them for $17 and still in the shelves.

What's the best bottle shop in Bakersfield? I live an hour north but pass through periodically. Love Imbibe's selection but their prices are offensive.

I spread it out between GM, country club liquors and West Chester. None of them can touch Imbibes selection, but all their prices are at a normal level. I was stoked to find out imbibe was beginning to stock PtE....until I saw the price. :open_mouth:
I know that the owner of imbibe drives out of town to pick wine and beer up and bypasses our two local distributors. The other shops don't have the staff to be able to do that on a regular basis.

Parabola hit Massachusetts in mid-July in 2011. What part of the state are you in?

The Berkshires....apparently life's a little slower out here.

I hate to be the one to announce it, but Massachusetts is apparently not getting Parabola.

    Wow. That's garbage.

What's the deal with Parabola this year? It's been in demand since it was first bottled, but it always seemed like people were able to get their hands on it without too much trouble. I haven't heard of any truck-chasing like KBS usually sees...

Total BS if you ask me. They made an extra 3000 bottles this year and gave our allocation to another state.

Firestone has been way behind on distro forever. I have never been a victim of this living in the same town, but I am expecting the sale of Nectar Ales and the brewhouse expansion to improve their shipping times. I know Firestone is big on keeping beer local, within a day's drive from the brewery, so that is why it sits on shelves longer in some areas and in the farther areas doesn't last longer than an hour on shelves.

That is BS, did your distributor tell you they aren't getting any in MA this year?

Nope, an employee from Firestone Walker told me

So... places that are swimming in Parabola, enjoy MA's bottles!
