Seriously. Does anybody know what the hell is going on with FW distro? We eventually get stuff, and in ample quantity, except it comes in 2 months late. That's fine on the boxed beers, but really not cool on Double Jack or Wookey Jack.

 

It's like that all the time with FW. I've never understood it.

 

I've only heard it was in NYC. I have yet to hear it hit here and I sure have been asking.

 

I think my rep is getting sick of me asking... I like the "note" that has been showing up on the sides of Double Jack cases about quality and freshness...

 

Still no info as of Monday- I'm starting to get impatient. I can't wait for the questions regarding Double Double Barrel to start rolling in.

Wasn't someone able to contact the brewer via twitter? Not sure who that was, but maybe the same person could raise the issue?

 

The problem is the beer is already in distribution. It's not a question of when it's going to leave the brewery. It also doesn't seem to be an issue with MA distributors and FW since we can get fresh Double Jack and Porter when we want it. I hope they rebrand DDBA as their New England Christmas beer.

 

So are there underpants gnomes stealing Parabola off trucks, or have there been palettes of it sitting in a warehouse in the state for the last 6 weeks?

 

Yeah I'm a little confused. If it's in distribution but not an issue with the distributors, where's the third (fourth?) party causing the delay?

I don't mean at MA distributors, but just that it's in surrounding states already and has been actively shipping from FW for quite some time now (late May?). I don't have any confirmation that it's in MA. I know it's been in NY for at least a few weeks if not longer. I'm not concerned about underpants stealing gnomes, however if there are delicious bourbon barrel imperial stout stealing gnomes running around I'm going to have to buy a crossbow...

So maybe sooner than October? September? Boo. Been waiting on the Wookey!

 

I am going to assume they are brewing more batches of Wookey Jack, they probably aren't stupid enough to send that old of beer.

 

I'm waiting to hear back from my FW rep on the situation.
