Haven't seen it at WF in SD at all. I think I'm going to have to live with my two bottles.

6 cases at $15.99 at Pinole BevMo. I'd call ahead and ask them to hold bottles for you (510)669-1331. There were ~4-5 cases left when I left there about a half hour ago.

David Walker was at WF LJ Wednesday night leading a Firestone-Walker tasting, and you'd think they might have brought some Parabola out for the event.

    Nope.

Has anyone tried this year's batch yet? Kind of disappointing.

I enjoyed the one bottle I've opened so far, but didn't like it as much as the 2012 I had in late February so I am excited to see what 2013 does with a year on it.

2013 > 2012. 2013 was a return to form. 2012 was too mealy and the most disappointing out of the 4 batches.

I still have one bottle of 2012, so I will try them side by side soon. I don't think I can wait for a two years of aging versus one year comparison with that bottle. :grinning:

Had another last night, loving it. Homeboy has been able to get 1 bottle a day for a week on his way home from work. I think he can easily get a full case by Friday, as it isn't moving, but it's still 1 per person.

In Santa Rosa, CA Bottle Barn has Parabola @ $12.49 a bottle also BeerCraft in Rohnert Park, CA has it @ $15.95 a bottle. I have 14 Bottles and counting!

To repeat myself, here or the thread on the Releases board, I thought it was a bit hotter tasting than last year with the underlying flavors being a little less prevalent - but it seemed to have a more "smooth" mouth feel to me. I'm going to sit on my remaining bottles until autumn, I think. I didn't like it quite as much as 2012, but I think this is probably more of a personal preference thing than a quality thing.

It was definitely distributed to WF in the San Diego area.

I bought one at the WF in Encinitas and the WF in Del Mar/Flower Hill last week.

Yeah, definitely less chocolate, coffee, and bourbon than previous years IMHO. It reminded me of sucking on alcohol-soaked oak, and not in a good way. I guess it won't hurt to just sit on the rest of my bottles until later in the year.

Asked friends what they wanted and bought for them, but then they wanted more so ran out again today. Still ~4 cases at Pinole.
