I found a couple of 2010 Parabolas tucked away behind some other bottles in the cellar that I forgot I had. Looking to hear from BAs with experiences in trading aged Parabolas. Has trade value increased, fallen off or stayed about the same? I'm probably going to drink one to experience the aging and put another one up for trade. That is unless the aged version knocks my socks off...

Fair warning: this is a solid possibility. Did the three year vert back in July or so, and was compelled to trade for two more 2010s. I'm trying to remember off the top of my head what I traded for them. If I think of it I'll post again...

If I could compel you to drink both, I would. That said, please hit me up if you're considering trading one or both - 2010 was the first Firestone Walker beer I ever had and it ruined me.

For some reason, Parabola 2010 has never commanded major beerage m trade commensurate to its quality and taste.

It had plenty of trade value in 2010. 2010 Parabola isn't going to be nearly as easy to come by. All was lost once they started distributing to Chicago+ in 2011 and beyond.

I also did a 3 year vert sometime last year and holy hell the 2010 is drinking awesome.

2010 was a much smaller bottle count than '11 and '12, and it was a new beer without much of a name at the time. So ultimately I just don't think it ever traded a ton.

I think you might get a sliver more interest in it than a more recent vintage, but like most vintage beers, why not just drink it yourself? You've already put in the dirty work of waiting 3 years to age it, and you probably won't get back anything crazy for it. I'll drop vintage beers in as extras sometimes, but I rarely trade them, and generally just drink them myself.

We did a 3 year vertical as well recently and felt that both 2010 and 2011 had significantly fallen off from fresh. There's still plenty of trade value though, so you should be able to land something fresh and tasty for it.

I'll trade you my car for two of them. Half joking.
